If that generator floods it pretty much means my house is flooded as well. I’ll never say never, but we’ve lived through some substantial flooding events and have yet to flood (Memorial Day of 15 with 21 inches of rain in 24 hours, Harvey with 41 inches of rain in 3 days, etc).
One piece of advice I would mention to anyone getting a generator is to make sure they also install soft starts on their AC units.
Yeah, it’s never been that big of a deal but the point stands. I should get a UPS for it. In unincorporated Harris County, you don’t have to get permits to have it installed. Once I settled on the company, it was installed within 2 weeks.
I abandoned my plan of the 15kw portable tri-fuel generator and had a 26kw Generac installed back in October. I travel quite a bit for work and didn’t want my wife or son to have to set up a generator if we lose power. Since it has been installed, we’ve lost power twice. Once we weren’t at home and another time for almost 6 hours. It was very nice to not even skip a beat other than waiting for the router to reboot for WiFi.
lol...this team sucks and they are going to get worse. I think the players had at least a little bit of respect for McCarthy, but this coaching staff is a joke. Besides, coaching was far from the worst thing about this team the last several years. I hope they go full circle and go 1-15 this year. Then Jerry dies and there is at least a moment of hope. Stephen will squash it fairly quickly, but at least you'll have a few minutes/hours of hope.
I've told my wife that I do not want a memorial. I want a party. I want my friends and family to have a great time and remember all the stupid shit I did.
The only show I could find from tonight is one I linked last year, which was solid. I really need to hear some good stuff tonight so I'm revisiting 1029/77, which is one of my favorite shows. I'm currently jamming the "Eyes of the World". It's a slower version and a little jazzier than most "Eyes" from this period. The "Black Peter" and "Around and Around" are outstanding!
Arch will be the #1 pick in '27. He is not leaving after one year. And I don't wish the Cowboys upon any Longhorn. They should avoid the Cowboys every chance they get.
It's nice to have a quiet house for a while and listen to some Grateful Dead. This show is solid if not spectacular. The highlight so far has been the Jack Straw. Jerry absolutely goes off! I always love an "Around and Around" to end the show as well!
