Only two of LSU's scoring drives were over 60 yards. i like our chances to get some stops if the offense can move the ball and make them drive the field.
If we can confuse Burrow's reads like we did to Fromm, it will lead to stalled drives or turnovers. Fromm got antsy even when not under pressure after a couple hits. Scoring on our first drive would be great for confidence on both sides of the ball as well.
I thought the corners played soft, preferring to give up the short throws to make sure they didn't get beat deep and make La Tech drive down the field. Since they couldn't sustain their drives until the 3rd string was in, I guess it worked. I do think the tackling on the short throws was not great, it was something Tom mentioned and could be a noticeable drop off from Davis and Boyd until they get better. Hardy and those guys looked decent but we will play better and they will make us pay for poor angles and diving at the legs.
With Foster on the LOS, and Sterns coming on a blitz from the other side, is it possible that Bimage had playside C gap responsibility? Neither Wheeler or Locke seem like they are concerned with playing the run with urgency.
According to ESPN FPI (I know I know...FWIW) Ole Miss and Miss St both have a greater chance of beating aggy than aggy does of beating any of the big 4.
Through the haze of inebriation, I remember one of the reasons for Foreman's success in 2016 was run blocking on the left side...Williams + Vahe? Do we think Cosmi + Braun are going to be better?
