AMC A-List is an awesome use of $20/month. I get 12 movies, discounts on guest tickets (certain days), points to use, etc. Dolby at Clearfork in Fort Worth is a great screen. Loud as hell for us old fucks that can’t tell what people are saying.
Very sad. She was on another level talent-wise. I think her parents had her doing standup at 10. Wasn’t the rumor she had a kid with that Nickelodeon fuck?
Another film I put in the same category as Burn After Reading is The Informant. Didn’t blow me away the first time I saw it but I’ll watch it every time I run across it and enjoy it every time. Mark Whitacre, Secret Agent 0014. Because he’s twice as smart as 007.
I went to see it again last night and holy shit I laughed harder than the first time. No way did I think I would be admitting it’s the best of the three. Adding Jackman to the team as the straight guy is just too perfect, pushes it over the top. I did think it lost some momentum towards the end - but nailed the landing.
Thought it was even better the second time. Loved the atmosphere of the movie - was genuinely creeped out both times and wasn’t ready for it to end. I actually loved Cage’s performance. Was it scary? Not really. Didn’t have to be. Creepy af. Loved how MM played her character (second viewing it clicked why she is the way she is). Several things I didn’t pick up on the first time. If you were on the fence, I highly recommend doing a little research and rewatching it. I think a lot of viewers were looking for deeper meaning where the movie is actually very literal. I would typically agree that a flashback is cheating but I think it worked here very well.
Curious to see how Ultimate Team plays out. Admittedly, I am a sucker for this mode on Madden, something about unlocking different versions of the great players of all time scratches an itch for me. Anyone know if they got the rights to all the historical players or if it’s just current? VY possibly at some point? Seems like if they have them for Madden they would have them for this.
