Carpetbagging weasel faced smarmy little bitch, Ted Cruz
As I said above, they may believe some of it, but they know that stupid people believe all of it. So keep saying it, keep getting money, keep getting votes, and fuck everything else.

Carpetbagging weasel faced smarmy little bitch, Ted Cruz
I've wondered about this a lot, and here's my conclusion: He believes some of it, but he knows stupid people believe all of it. And more importantly, he knows that stupid people think he believes all of it, so they give him money and attention. His entire schtick began as throwing out whatever pathetic attention-seeking bullshit he could, and then the whole Freedom Caucus thing took off, so he latched on to that, and here we are. Everything is calculated to generate the most attention/outrage/money/adulation/whatever. He doesn't just think he's the smartest guy in the room; he thinks he's lightyears smarter than everyone else, which is why he struggles with empathy and other normal human interaction things. Not that I've thought about the turd or anything.

Better get your Dirty’s fix, soon.
Is that the same location as the old Third Eye Photography that Mike Adams hit with a wide left turn at the light at 26th/Dean Keeton and Guadalupe? As mentioned above, this city is becoming a soulless place catered to single tech bros and developers, with the mayor and city council gladly paving the way.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
My favorite part of this story is that The Rudder Association tried to redact the names of the four members of the BOR who attended the meeting before turning over the minutes to the Battalion. Oops: Further examination by The Battalion revealed, however, that the censored text could be copied and pasted into a text document to be viewed in its entirety, due to TRA using a digital black highlighter to censor.

Unruly assholes on airplanes and the "no fly" list
I loved flying for work for this. If I can't bill for both the the travel and the extra work, then fuck it, I'm having a drink and reading a book.

My best friend died today
I'm so sorry. What a great tribute to him. I lost my best friend eight years ago after a long bout with cancer. Still hurts every day. Take care of yourself.

2021-22 PGA thread
Absolutely. I was just noting that the timing allows them to play without putting those tournaments, the PGA, TV networks, etc. in an awkward position so soon.

2021-22 PGA thread
Which gives these guys enough time to play The Masters and the PGA -- and possibly the US Open, if it doesn't start until late-June. I can see a guy like Phil who's in between the regular and senior tours, or guys like Hoffman who make a living making cuts (NTTAWWT). But for DJ, Bryson, Bubba, it's such a gross money grab. I hope the PGA has the balls to revoke their cards.

2021-22 PGA thread
The replies to that tweet include rumors that DJ and Bubba have signed on also. And based on Charlie Hoffman's meltdown over the weekend, I think he's probably leaving, too. That's a safe bet.

The Goldbergs
I have a loose connection to Adam Goldberg. From everything I've heard about his family, there are plenty more hilarious stories -- and some of the funniest weren't appropriate for network television. Barry is the best. Our whole family really enjoyed the show, but it started to slide when Erica went off to college.

SOMEBODY FLIPPING ONE FUCKING SWITCH WOULD HAVE KEPT AUSTIN IN WATER
He needed to go a long time ago. They only reason he got the City Manager job was to implement the same building code reforms as Minneapolis. (And we see how that shit show is going.) He has and has shown no accountability, and he can fuck off with Adler and the rest.

SOMEBODY FLIPPING ONE FUCKING SWITCH WOULD HAVE KEPT AUSTIN IN WATER
Lost power for about 5 minutes. I feel like they're taunting us. The next shoe to drop will be AISD canceling classes tomorrow due to no potable water.

I may have some ill-feelings, but I'm damn sure not gonna let her know I give two shits about her ass -- much less throw a temper tantrum in public. That's the difference.- Texas in FW @ TCU 8pm on ESPNU
This fucking Cinn-Temple game is killing me.- AISD's (and other districts) Plans for Schools Starting August 18
Sounds like it's happening. I guess they don't want to take off on March 11 bc they know a bunch of kids play hooky the Friday before Spring Break anyway, so it's already a lighter day for teachers and staff?- Attorneys going in-house
I've been in-house for over 10 years, and I love it. Way less stress, and I still have a hand in litigation managing outside counsel. Health insurance and other benefits are way better, and most days, I leave work at work and get home to the family by dinnertime. Other than going to a stable company, my biggest piece of advice is to really look at the legal department you're joining. Make sure you like the people you'll be working with, especially if it's a smaller group without a lot of turnover. When I was in private practice, my firms were big enough that I found good work friends within the practice group that I could bounce things off of, grab drinks, or just shoot the shit when we needed a break. When I moved in house, I figured out real quick that the other lawyers weren't people I would have gravitated towards at my firm, and only one could talk football on Mondays. I like everyone well enough, and the work is challenging and fun, so overall it's been worth it.- Official "Fuck this stupid ass-commercial" thread
It's like we missed the first part of their conversation. Not that we *missed* it, but why does she think he's the one who wants to share food? He takes his own chip and shows off his sweet dipping sauce mixing skills. And then she's just as asshole who takes his food.- Texas Speed Traps
Beat me to it. I think Estelline was the reason why municipalities now have a cap on ticket revenue.- AISD's (and other districts) Plans for Schools Starting August 18
SIAP: AISD says cut off for contact tracing and notification is 48 hours. So if a kid tests positive more 48 hours of last being on campus, then no further action on their end. I guess the horse is out of the barn at that point, so that's one less thing admin has to document. And we're all on the honor system anyway, so whatever. My middle schooler tested positive this morning (home test), so we let the school know. I thought they'd prob contact my kids' friends because they ate lunch indoors on Friday, so I gave other parents a heads up. But I guess not. Also, my kid has been complaining of back pain. School nurse said she sent three kids home this morning because of back pain, so watch for that symptom in your kids.- Official "Fuck this stupid ass-commercial" thread
And the chick being an asshole who makes no sense. I hate them both.- Fitlump fucking won a Austin City Council seat, Now on to Congress 2026!
