My first guess was a band, who I like a lot (🏎🚗🚘)…
the second second (wait wut?)- The 2nd second gave it away…

I am by no means a “fan”, but they have their place in music history. And Lord knows they’ve made boatloads of cash over the years. Good on ‘em.

Yes, I used this exact gif just 9 or so hours ago. But I’ll be damned if it doesn’t fit.
And yes, I should be Neg-bombed for re-quoting a pic of ListEater. I am sorry.
I don’t remember the sleet. I just remember a steady cold-ass rain…it poured and ou poured it on. Ugh.
I do remember sleet at the ‘91 Cotton Bowl. Now, THAT was miserable.
And my apologies. Why the hell am I bringing up such misery?
SMU sits in the heart of the Park Cities. They have money falling off the trees, there. Of course they have that kind of money.
David Stanley out front shoulda told ya.
Never forget CJK5H
I only hear it when I’m in my 88yo Sainted Mom’s car. She doesn’t have satellite radio, so it’s independent radio for me. Then I’ll hear it occasionally.
On a separate but somewhat related note- I detest mainstream radio. We’re in DFW. I think that ever since the Zoo, Q102 and The Edge all left, radio has gone to hell. I can’t even listen to the oldies station. Last time I did I heard Quiet Riot’s “Cum on Feel the Noize”..WTH??
So, it’s 91.7KXT for me.
Holy moly- Is this the first time that we all hit on the first second?
And if so, @Bottlecap- I think this happenstance may sort of answer your question.
I don’t know all Y’all’s ages, ethnicity/backgrounds- I’m an early 50’s Dad. I’m terminally Caucasian. I’ve heard this song a billion times. But I still like it. I like more of the girl’s singing than the dude’s, but nevertheless, I like the tune.
I had a brief interaction with Malik and LTG earlier this spring. I was in town for my oldest Daughter’s (DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT) sorority “Dad’s Weekend” - anyway we ran into him and LTG at Kerbey Ln. As we were waiting (for freaking ever) for a table, I asked them how things were going; are they having fun, getting acclimated, etc etc. Typical “Dad questions”. Then I asked them jokingly “OK, how many games are we gonna win?” Malik looked me dead in the eyes and said, “All of ‘em!”
I didn’t “like” your comment as it relates to Card. I hate reading that and never want to just “write off” a kid.
I simply agree with your thoughts and think you’re on point. I wish I wasn’t “scared to death” to see him back there, but…ugh.
