This is exactly what I’m thinking. I’ve spent the past 35yrs of my life in the Athletic Ftwr/Apparel business. I’ve never seen anything like what’s going on right now in terms of shipping/logistics. The factories are pretty much back up to speed. That’s not the issue. The issue is the simple lack of containers in which to ship the goods. They’re either sitting in a bay on a Maersk liner or sitting in a dockyard waiting to be unloaded/returned back to the FE. There is the option of air freight- Which considering the rising cost of shipping, is actually a bargain these days. If Nike wants their good to hit their WH, it’ll happen. Period. As for the Ftwr, the majority of their PE’s are all made in the basement of the Michael Jordan bldg on the Beaverton campus. I’m not sure if they can make 100+ pairs though…probably? Maybe?

Interesting. Wonder what he means by ā€œa few surprisesā€?
  3. Besides UO’s relationship with Nike, I think this might be the second best use of a ā€œdonorā€ relationship. I’d be shocked if the U didn’t somehow finagle this into an exclusive deal with IMG or something similar…It’s the freaking Wild West out there. Go ye forth and prosper!
  4. This right here. I’m sure a lot of you understand what I’m about to say, but there are some here that don’t seem to get it, or they’re just not paying attention. To a lot of 17-19yo’s, the Brand matters. Period. School Brand, Uniform Brand(hello SHOES) and now, of course, Personal Brand. Phil Knight bleeds green and yellow. I’m sure he’s just as tired of UO’s wallowing around in mediocrity as a lot of us are with Texas doing the same. Of course he’s in a much better suited position to affect things that most of us. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t arrange for certain recruits SNKRS accounts to be flagged to come up winners on all the launches. Dammit, I sound like an aggy conspiracy theoristā€¦šŸ™„
  5. Yup, I was 9. It was ā€œI’ve eaten nine hundred fried PB&banana sammichesā€ Elvis, but it was him. My first concert ever. I think it was in February. He would be gone <6months later.
  6. I, too, am Terminally Caucasian😬 Saw the Beasties at Fair Park I Dallas in ā€˜87. GREAT concert. Fish Bone opened. Then, again in ā€˜99 (ā€˜00?) on the Hello Nasty tour at Tarrant Count CC. Man, I’ve seen some GREAT concerts at TCCC.. ’77- Elvis ’87 - U2 ’87 - Van Halen w/Sammy (or was it ā€˜86?) ’99 - Beastie Boys Viva el TCCC!
  7. Humble Brag!! ~ KIDDING. That’s awesome. I’ve seen them 4 or 5 times. ā€˜87 Joshua Tree @ Tarrant Cnty Conv Ctr ’89 Reunion Arena and the next night I think?) in H-Town (Astrodome) ’98(?) Zooropa in Cotton Bowl ’16(?) - In Jerry World (worst concert cause acoustics suck) I’d love to be able to time-travel and see them at Red Rocks!
  8. Very cool. So glad you got to see/hear the album live. I missed the 30th(!!) Anniversary tour, but I’m guessing the opening, when the red hewn lights came up and the first notes of ā€œWhere the Streetsā€¦ā€ began, sent a wave of excite through the entire audience. I get chills just thinking about it. What a great band!
  9. Sadly, you missed the ā€œbestā€ U2.
  10. I vaguely remember an SI pic of Kenneth Sims standing with arms outstretched showing his wingspan- He MIGHT (??)?have been palming two basketballs ala MJ’s ā€œWingsā€ poster…of memory serves me correct. 13yo me was awestruck at that pic.
  11. I always enjoy this thread each off season. Thanks to @LTtxfan, @Longboard Horn and everyone else contributing. Great trip down memory lane.šŸ¤˜šŸ»
  12. I’m sure you guys have discussed, but it’s just dawned on me that Beard may’ve told those that bolted to start looking around, or at the very least ,ā€Well. byeā€ all while knowing he’d just raid the portal in that ā€œchess not checkersā€ way he’s done…
  13. How she make her pussy do dat???
  14. I hope you’re correct. Then again, you’re just some guy on the internet...šŸ™„šŸ˜‚
  15. It seems Dustin might not know of what he speaks/writes...ā€Expectation is he joins the program in some capacity, but Benson hasn’t confirmed status. Workouts start next week.ā€ Because according to Nick Harris....
  16. Was this the Steel Wheels tour? If so, I was there. Got tickets from the Head of Marketing for 97.1 KEGL at the time. She also got me a trip up in ā€œBlack Thunderā€ to ride along on the morning traffic. That was really cool..(except having to be at Love Field by 4:15am🄱😓) I consider myself a casual Stones fan. Which is cool because I’m still discovering their ā€œother stuffā€. I could probably live the rest of my life without hearing ā€œStart Me Upā€ again...ugh.
  17. I sort of shocked they didn’t ā€œcutoutā€ Austin from their Texas-shaped stage thingy. You’re slipping aggy. Now go get your fucking shine box.
  18. Absolutely NOT A dumb question. And in my opinion, you’ve ā€œtalkedā€ your way into the answer. Just as with proper weight training...think back squats (or even front squats!); you want the load ā€œhighā€/up on your shoulders across the traps. This keeps it centered and thus forces you to tighten the core, thereby taking load off your lower back. and I hope Broskie has on some SPF! I have a similar ā€œhair styleā€ and have already had to have some spots removed and two MOHS procedures. #theforestislosingitscanopy #grassdontgrowonabusystreet
  19. THIS is a great idea. My wife and I do a 3-4mi morning walk on our ā€œoffā€ days, from the gym. We frequently see a gentleman doing this exact thing. There’s one fairly steep hill in our neighborhood. He’s got his backpack loaded and he walks up and down the hill. He varies his strides from short to long (almost like a walking lunge up the hill). It looks fun and extremely exhausting.
  20. Well, I for one would love to see Sark & Co use this season as a stepping stone to the Playoffs by getting to the Sugar Bowl and beating the shit outta a ā€œpre-destinedā€ Jawja team...again. šŸ™ƒ I can tell you one thing; there’d be no turtling when they’re up by 17/20, whatever it was...šŸ¤˜šŸ»
  21. Oh man, I’m so envious. Good for you! I love PJ, but have never taken the opportunity to see them live. Ugh. Hope you have a great time!
