Resting Sam, if he can play, sends the message that you are taking Kansas lightly, this Texas team has demonstrated itself to be ill-equipped to handle that frame of mind.
That is what I’m aiming for. I have a conventional wood fired pit, but i usually don’t have the time to tend the fire all night on a brisket. I’d like to replace the gas grill too and was thinking this might be a good option for both.
I searched and didn't find an existing thread.
I've recently become interested in Pellet grill and smokers. Does anyone have any experience with this system?
I asked my son (who is a freshman at UT). If I had told you before the season that Texas would be 6-1 at the bye week, how would that make you feel?
Also, if you could pick the team you lose to in that stretch, which one?
Things are going pretty good
A lot of Alabama's games are seemingly more competitive than their final scores indicate. That's what they do. They wear you out and then run up the score in the 4th. The timeline was just a bit more accelerated against aggy and they pulled their starters in the third. I don't understand any moral victories in that game.
People like him don't change and their past/present eventually catches up to them. I'm not too worried about comeupance.
by the way, good work over at Secrant.
When Holiday Inn wasn't busy being a Hurricane Harvey victim and eyesore, it was a pretty cool place to walk up from the beach and grab a cocktail. They often had bands playing on the weekends.
Anything between Bob Hall pier and the north side of Packery Channel are about the same beach parking.
I thought I had access to that shithouse of a forum, but I can't remember username, password and I apparently didn't even use a real email when signing up. Oh well.
If you want to set another record straight. Aggy tried to rebut their silly wall of champions adding two new NC's during their off season transition to the SEC by pointing out (rightly, unfortunately) that Texas claimed 2008* as a conference title. Yah, for about two minutes. They still proudly stand by their found -under-the-couch-cushions- championships. https://texassports.com/sports/2013/7/29/GEN_0729130907.aspx?id=330
and by the way, if we are going to count like aggy, we'd have 8 - 14 championships in football.
Was forced to attend a game last year with my sister's family (all aggy). They sawed em off at least 4 times, maybe 5 during that game. Atmosphere sucked, by the way. Some kid behind us kept booing every call the refs made until finally some fat old man, who in my memory was wearing a high-crown john deere cap and suspendered overalls (but maybe I'm not remembering correctly and my mind has since colored that in) announced to the boy, "aggies don't boo, son". My wife, my oldest (and current Texas22 freshman) and myself couldn't refrain from laughing out loud at that.
I know summer is almost over but it's still hot as hell and there is plenty of pool time left so here are two of my "ply the ladies" drinks
My wife (no pics) just calls it "The good peach tea"; I'll brew of some loose leaf ice tea for the day, preferrably a blend sold online as "Gold Rush". With that I mix Deep Eddy Peach Vodka (regular vodka works fine if you add a little more schnapps) with some peach schnapps and some sort of sweetener (SS or artificial). The exact amounts depend on how far into the day drunk or evening you've gotten. Anytime my wife (no pics) has her friends (no pics) around I'm making this for all of them.
So: Iced Tea, Deep Eddy Peach vodka, Peach schnapps and sweetener. Great pre-made for a river float. You're welcome.
The other drink isn't mine, I learned it NYE in Austin: Deep Eddy Peach, Le Croix mango and a little bit of a crystal light peach tea pack (to taste) This I make for one of my friend's wife (no pics) that hates drinking anything normal and who won't put out sober. Although this did backfire a couple of weekends ago when I gave her some long pours and she locked herself in the bathroom with his phone and started going through his facebook, changed his password and unfriending girls. So we have to be careful with this.
