welp, guess i know what im making for dinner tomorrow. this is one of those dishes, once i get it in my brain, no other dinner will be satisfying till i've had this.
In a true petty move by Netflix, they basically omit the Butler College game. It's one of the few really well run juco programs with good people as coaches that does it the right way. After Butler beat Indy, the coach wouldn't let Netflix in the locker room or in the media booth for a look in on his interviews. He politely declined because he doesn't want his program to be a circus. So Netflix but out almost all of that game - which was a really really good game, too.
Fuck Indy and fuck Brown.
Well this ought to make the season that's about to drop a little more interesting.

Headed to Minneapolis next month for an anniversary trip. Few days in the city, a few up north at Grand Marais doing outdoorsy shit. In Minneapolis we already have reservations for Spoon and Stable Popol Vuh Volestead’s Emporium - anyone ever been here? It’s an old fashioned speakeasy. Hitting the Twins for sure. Betty Danger’s Country Club. Matt’s for a juicy Lucy. Doing the Mill City Farmers Market and probably the museum. Rooftop bar at Hewing Hotel. Taking a day trip up to Duluth for a dinner on an old school train - something we did on our honeymoon too. Any other major recs?
SIAP. Last podcast on the left. Had a episode Wednesday with Dan Akroyd as a guest. He’s truly way deep in on the paranormal and aliens. Pretty interesting to hear what he has to say.
I fucking loathe parents who act like petulant assholes towards youth sports / teenage umpires. It’s a fucking child’s game. Get a grip. Recently had an opposing coach (9yo kid pitch) berate a teenage umpire and then leave, trying to take his son (the pitcher) with him. Kid stayed. Dad tried to come back later. Teenage ump asked me what to do. I told him this was his field and if he didn’t want the guy back to tell him to gtfo. Which is exactly what he did.
Damn. I my state's teaching schedule were a little bit different (we are 1st week of Aug to 3rd week of May) I'd actually consider giving this a go because wtf not?
Mr. Madison, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Well... bye. Moose out front shoulda told ya. Can’t see the line can ya Russ? It’s... smiling at me. Ahoy polloi! What the fuck is a frush? We were inverted. Leave the gun. Take the cannolis.
If you’re watching at home, here’s what I’d do: sync up your tv (muted) with the radio broadcast. It’s infinitely better than the tv guys. And my friend is the broadcaster in turn 3. Born and bred Indy and his passion (as well as all the radio commenters) carries over. They just do a fantastic job.
Fucking clown show. My buddy who works for Indycar Radio said Alonso was very chill, collected, and honest with himself after getting bumped. Stayed and signed autographs. Did some interviews. He will be back. Got my ticket yesterday - paddock penthouse. The section stuck on top of the grandstands. Outside of home stretch - quarter mile short from the pagoda. Can see the chute for turn 4 and 1 and even catch glimpses of the cars on the backstretch.
