  1. Timo relegated to the guy we bring in at the end of the match to waste time.
  2. Helluva save there. Lukaku unlucky to not have a second.
  3. The press will make you look a little sloppy at times, but we’ve broken it much more often than not. We’re also without Kante, who would help quite a bit in that regard.
  4. Lukaku is a total game changer for this squad. The defense has to account for him constantly. So much more room for everyone else. Or it could just be that Arsenal sucks. Or both of those things could be true.

Sipping on the Oak Liquor OF BS Bourbon store pick. Raj grabbed a good one for sure.
  6. Option value is never a bad thing. You can discount the possibility that Tammy will continue improving with regular playtime. If he’s a top 5-10 level striker in 4 years, that buy back amount will look like a steal.
  7. If CP is going to wear the 10 shirt, he needs to put those chances in the back of the net.
  8. That has been coming for more than a minute. Very uninspiring play in the 2nd half. What the fuck was Rudi even trying to do with that pass/clearance anyway?

Our group got one. I wish I could tell you that you’re not missing anything, but that’d be a lie.

Had my second pour of Disco 5 last night. My opinion of it is trending down. I’m one of the bigger Bardstown fans among the guys I drink with, but there is something a little off with this one. It was very tannic and a little too oak forward. It must be the Dickel component throwing me off.

I tried Kosher Wheat finally. I really don’t get it at all. Super drinkable yet wholly unremarkable.

I blind tasted Disco 2/3/4 with two friends and we all ended up picking 2 as our favorite. I was surprised as hell, but all three are so damn good that the results could and likely would be different if we did it again. I had my first pour of 5 last night, so I need more time with it. That said, I’m not impressed they cheaped out on the topper and cork. It’s nowhere near as dense and they switched from cork to synthetic. It doesn’t affect the bourbon, but definitely detracts from it feeling like a premium bottle.

    100% of the time here.

The SH15 is more Barton juice based on the mashbill. Danny Kahn doesn't think much of selling their best whiskey to NDP's, so I'm a bit worried that the quality will come down a notch. Having said that, early reviews seem positive. It's possible they bought the barrels in shot and aged half for a year and bottled the other for last year's SH14 release.
  16. That guy is a jackass, but you guys can’t help but keep giving him attention by pasting his worthless takes here. Can’t we just all agree to remove the oxygen from this asshats shitty little fire at this point?
  17. I literally rode the train for the first time last week, and can’t speak to a night trip. That said, it was clean and in good shape. It’s also stupid cheap ($3 per person each way). I didn’t a get any sort of vibe that it’d be unsafe.
  18. The light rail will get you from the airport to the Westlake stop in downtown in about 40 mins or so. Plenty of good tried and true recommendations here. Having lived there for almost 4 years, I found the best food options to be in Cap Hill. Spinasse, Bateau, Terra Plata, Mamnoon, Stateside, Altura, Momiji, and many more. For bars, Foreign National or Canon are awesome. Rein House isn’t anything special unless you just really love Bocce Ball, IMO. Other spots of note are Wa’z in Belltown, Homer in Beacon Hill, and Sawyer + Walrus and the Carpenter in Ballard. You should head to Ballard for their Sunday farmer’s market if you’re able to. It’s probably the best market outside of Pike’s Place and there is plenty to see and do while checking out the tents. Mini cinnamon donuts are a must.

Probably Barrell, but maybe both. Ultimately I crave variety over consistency. MGP is MGP. There are a few different mash bills and various ages, but the experience is generally consistent within those dimensions. Granted, it’s consistently very damn good. Barrell is doing something unique by blending a set of components such that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That means that there will inevitably be batches that are a standard deviation or two from the baseline, but when you catch a great one it’s not something you are going to find elsewhere.

As the official Surly Barrell Bourbon fan boy, I feel compared to share: https://thebourbonculture.com/whiskey-reviews/barrell-bourbon-batch-029-review/ I think the guy behind this blog has a pretty solid palate, or at least one that seems to be largely consistent/similar with mine. Looks like batch 29 is worth scooping up if you're wanting to catch Barrell at their best.

  24. I have the Schlage Encode, which has been reliable and convenient: https://www.schlage.com/en/home/smart-locks/encode.html You can still use the key, but the keypad is awesome with my kids. Those fuckers would lose a key every week with how forgetful they are, so having a keypad that lets them in is super helpful. Reviews on it are good across the board.
  25. Why do we care about this twat waffle at this point? The less airtime he gets, the better.
