Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
He's starting his throw right here and Golden hasn't cleared either DB. Now you can say he saw that Golden was going to win the route based on what's there, but frankly he's not done that sort of thing with much consistency this year. So I am going to give the dude his props, because if he had actually waited for Golden to get even or behind the DB's there would not have been enough room to complete the throw.

Two things. 1) He wasn't wide open when Quinn started that throw. 2) Quinn got the team into the right play against the D ASU showed, which is why Golden broke open.

Whoa! You got to take a picture with Quinn?! So cool! You should definitely post that literally every time you post in this thread so that nobody runs the risk of missing it!!!!!!!!!

Texas O-line talk
Pass pro was largely okay (minus a couple of blitz pickup issues here and there) but this unit should be flat out embarrassed by the game tape here. And the fucking false starts in high leverage situations are unacceptable. Disastrous overall performance today.

Like any QB, the best version of Quinn is the one in rhythm. The two drives to set up failed FG's really helped get him in rhythm, and luckily he stayed in the groove in OT. You could see him getting more comfortable timing wise on each drop back. Sark has been guilty several times this year of not getting QB's in rhythm, and it's another area where he needs to do some self scouting during the off-season.

The sideline reporter said he threw up multiple times.

Sark was stubborn today about having balance, even when it was clear the run game was not working. I think he was really counting on the size advantage winning, but they were quick and disruptive and we never found the recipe. I actually thought the pass play call on 2nd down while up 8 was appropriately aggressive for the situation, but Quinn made a bad throw. No idea what was going on elsewhere on that play, but he either picked the wrong guy or threw the wrong type of ball. Possibly both.

Official Coach Sark Thread of Dominance—haters back off
It's just reflective of the timeline we live in. You now have to say stuff utterly outrageous to get any sort of attention, and way too many people are attention starved.

That dude is destined for a very short career in football. He's willing to sacrifice his body in ways that most others are not, but he's not going to survive long at the next level dropping his head and trying to bulldoze everyone in sight. And yeah, I would put a lot of money on him playing whilst concussed based on what we saw and heard during the 2nd half.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
The best outcome from here is that this game awakens something in Quinn (and hopefully the entire offense) that we can ride for two more games. We've seen that movie before where a team finally passes a trial by fire and takes things to the next level. That's the outcome I'll be rooting for.

You coming in to post this fucking bullshit at this moment could not possibly be any more on brand. Tell me this, when Quinn does finally move on from UT are you going to go with him? I sure as fuck hope so, you hopelessly devoted little Stan.

When we had to have it, he delivered. Nobody can take that away from him. Take a bow, #3.

His nuts were out on that one boys.

Stop quoting Stassney. He has owned that he is trolling this thread already. That throw to Wingo was a fucking dart. Quinn has plenty of throws on the bad side of the ledger, but that was a truly great one.

Just sort of fell apart as soon as we got to the edge of Burt's FG range. We've seen that movie before.

Good set of throws so far. Quinn clearly has more confidence than I do.

Tie game with 5 mins left and we're about to get the ball back with zero momentum. Wish I had some level of confidence, but I can't seem to find any. No matter the outcome, this drive will go a long way towards cementing the narrative of his career.

Terrific dime to Golden in a have to have it situation.

Another game, another atrocious third quarter. Sark needs to look in the fucking mirror on this one, as it's on his shoulders to fix.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Why? Does me getting behind him change anything at all about how he's going to play? Positivity for positivity's sake is such a bad look. Just be direct about shit, good or bad.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Outside of the first drive, the whole Offense has looked liked hammered shit. Quinn has played the same as he has all year long, though the pass he missed to a wide open Moore is not one that he typically misses. The performance only further validates that he's fine to good, but not the kind of player that elevates our offense. There were two over the top plays to be had in that half, and he made neither.

I bought a GTS secondary and the guy offered me a CYPB for $400. That was an easy pass for me. But I mean, yeah. If others are willing to pay that much then it's a good play I suppose.
