  1. Agreed, but the series ain’t over yet. They still might win.
  2. That’s not the rule. Batter interference calls the runner out. Umpire interference just sends the runner back. I just don’t see how you can call both, because the steal attempt doesn’t actually occur if umpire interference is first. But that’s just my logic, not me reading a rule book.
  3. Can’t it not be the called to end the game because the runner didn’t actually end up attempting a steal because they called umpire interference, negating the throw? Logically, batter interference shouldn’t apply there then, right? I agree it was batter interference, but it seems like it doesn’t apply once they negate the steal attempt due to umpire interference.
  4. https://www.on3.com/news/uscs-nil-power-no-1-recruiting-class-signal-lincoln-rileys-program-is-turning-corner-we-were-very-behind/ "We were very behind" “This is not one of those things where it’s a bunch of hollow promises, and things aren’t being followed through. It’s important to this university right now.” Interesting that USC admits they were very behind, but more interesting that maybe their current class isn't built on "hollow promises." As the proverb goes, "we'll see."
  5. Are you talking about summer semesters? Otherwise, there's no reason not to just push the portal dates back some and have it close before school starts again in August/September (depending on the school). As it stands, the current model only really helps some guys take a few credits during a summer session. Portals opening before the culmination of any sport season is just a stupid idea for many reasons.
  6. Becker and Ford were UVA's top-two players statistically on offense: Becker played SS this season, yet appeared at 3B some in 2024 and can play all infield positions sans 1B. UVA doesn't have the breakdown up for 2025 yet, but below is 2024's. 2024: Appeared in 45 games and made 39 starts (26 at third base and 13 at shortstop) Ford played multiple positions in the OF this season.
  7. I'm assuming this was the aforementioned "fan favorite" that was set to transfer. If so, we called it. Ah, I see @BurntOrange&White covered this already.

  9. Uh, yes please. At least the offensive numbers.
  10. I’ll have to find it. There was a scouting conversation with D1. Granted, this was prior to his shitty stretch to end the season. Edit: I misremembered. It was 6-8. I updated the OP. Here’s the full text:
  11. Alright. Spencer and Belyeu will be picked in the first two rounds. Ruger was mentioned recently as round 6-8 guy. We lose Kimble. What about Galvan? Does Flores come back, or does his AA season in 2024 do enough to preserve a nice bonus? Who’s the transfer OTF was referring to; Gasparino, Whitehead? We have some nice young talent, but we’re going to potentially need to hit the portal hard for starting pitchers, a C, a SS, and an outfielder. Also, will we see a staff shakeup at hitting coach? Let all the speculation begin.
  12. Yep. He was projected as the 8th draft prospect prior to his injury.
  13. Pretty cool to homer in your final AB in college and at your home stadium.
  14. Rubbed too many out in between games, I guess.
  15. Hopefully. Just a need a nice little bolus of 0.9 NaCl.
  16. Still going to be really hot outside (91 at game start) and even hotter on the field. But yes, they certainly can win.
  17. They certainly still can, but 7+ hours today on a field that’s well over 100 degrees is exhausting; even for fit, young folk.
  18. Not just hot. It’s fucking awful outside. Huge headwind to us getting two more wins.
  19. Not amazing? Single-game averages of .400 (2 RBI) and .500 (1 RBI)? If Texas hit like that over the course of a season, we might never lose lol.
  20. Bing, Dre, Flores, Ruger, and gasp, Howard (who has been pitching well lately) are all rested still. Grubbs can go against KSU and even DV could pitch an inning in the second game if we advance. We have depth. Just need to fucking hit more consistently and get runs from RISP.
  21. Yep. We were rolling until that happened. Texas needs to kick this nagging habit of losing its ace/a top pitcher. Been happening consistently since 2014.
  22. Yep. Just laid a big ole stinky shit in all phases of the game.
  23. Jonah is such a stud.
  24. This dude haha. Borba sucks on defense.
