I hear you. But what’s the point of a hands-on coaching approach that doesn’t improve on-field results?
No one is bitching about the strategy of taking pitches. We’re bitching out striking out swinging on stupid ass pitches that are off the plate.
From a hitting strategy standpoint, yes. However, Tulo working with hitters consistently during the season has been discussed on broadcasts repeatedly.
I don’t agree. His average is low, but he does have a propensity to come up with clutch hits in these types of situations. Also, puts the DP into play.
Yep. We called it earlier in the game. Hit the ace who was throwing 97 mph FBs and wondered why they weren’t throwing more breaking pitches. Now, we’re totally incompetent against the lefty throwing breaking balls.
Yeah, I'm surprised they aren't throwing more sliders and breaking balls. I don't know much about Doyle's pitching repertoire (other than he has great stats on the year), but it should be obvious to opponents what we struggle with by now...
That's one way to garner some momentum when you're struggling at the plate.
I'm curious if that was a sign, or on his own accord. Seems like we never situationally bunt, but players will lay one down when they notice the infield is playing back.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I, for one, do not want the divulgence of these fanciful stories to end.
Shit, let’s sit back and allow WWIII to take shape, Surly style.
It’s certainly a 6yo mindset.
“I’ll keep playing outside until my parents call me in to stop.”
Wouldn't it be amazing if Texas and aggy both made it to the final and Texas sent them home and ruined their AQ chance? That would be the ultimate analogy to the above mindset.
