II’ll try to be nice here, but Jesus Christ get Windhorst on a meal plan and a personal trainer ESPN. The guy is built like The Penguin. When he gets up from the desk there’s a noticeable hunchback. He just looks miserable moving. I feel bad for the guy.
Watching Graham Norton for the first time. Really interesting format. Liam Hemsworth gushing about Wedding Crashers and Halle Berry expressing her love for The Notebook to Rachel McAdams is pretty cool. Very brief monologue. No dumb ass bits. He just asks a very brief question and allows his guests to talk because they’re infinitely more interesting than he is. The American hosts could learn a lot from him. I guess Andy Cohen is the American equivalent, but he focuses on interviewing the Real Housewives.
I had a good meal at La Plaza on Bingle. It reminds me of Andy’s in the Heights. Just a no frills, Tex Mex cafe. There’s bar seating by the flat top grill. Great place to get a cup of coffee and have breakfast. They do serve beer, but I wouldn’t trust their margaritas. Their pork chops are pretty great. Tasted just like how my grandfather made them.
The Big Night. If there’s a better restaurant movie out there, I haven’t seen it. I believe it was a favorite of Bourdain. He said as much to Tony Shalhoub on an episode of A Chef’s Tour. The Louis Prima soundtrack is perfect. The Billions homage to this film is one of the best scenes of the series.
I think they’re a victim of bad draft luck + unforced errors. Flipping PHX with NYN picks is so fucking regarded I just want to scream. Wemby and Flagg league shenanigans. Green over Mobley. Jabari was always going to happen that way. Maybe, just maybe Orlando take Chet at 1 and it changes something things. Good pick on Amen, but Miller is tearing it up. Wemby’s smirk at that night club in Paris when he knew like a month advance he’d play for Uncle Tony’s team drives me crazy. That’s it. That’s the rebuild we were promised. They’re playing the lotto with shitty scratch off tickets that will never pan out. NYN in 2027 is their only valuable pick. It’llrequire an act of God to move the PHX picks out of the teens.
Bird had better scoring and rebounding numbers than Flagg as a rookie. Flagg has plenty of time to pass him in points and assists, rebounding will be a challenge. Either way, y'all get the point. McMahon or Bontemps, I dunno they sound the same after 30 minutes, said Flagg or Wemby are the best players to build your team around. Regardless, these basketball miracles happened to the 2 teams I hate the most.
To go full Conspiracy BFLT, I think there’s a handshake with FVV to not acquire another PG until he comes back from injury. FVV drives me nuts. He didn’t do the Rockets some fucking favor. They paid him way over market value twice. I’m sure he’s a good guy and he’s Ime best friend, but the organization owes him jack shit.
They could have acquired Ayo for what a late first? Looney for 2 seconds? They’re not giving shit away to contend this year. The buyout market is so insanely risky, and that’s not where a team with the Rockets assets should be. The buyout market is for hard capped, second apron older teams like the Lakers.
The Ayo trade stings. The guy was infinitely gettable. Dillingham barely plays for the Wolves. I think they’d prefer a late first. The radio guys have said the mood at Toyota Center is that FVV will be back for the playoffs and basically solve all the team’s problems. Well, shit.
