I hate punting on a season. Imagine being a Clippers fan right now. They stated publicly they’re going to suck until the summer of 2027. But what Stone did is worse. The Rockets are a game out of the 3 seed in a loaded Western Conference, and they have a shit ton of home games to improve playoff positioning. To summarize his statement at the deadline: we’ve had horrible injury luck, fuck this season. Like you said, at least get guys like Tate and Uncle Jeff off the books for cap space. Take a shot on unloading DFS. I just don’t understand his reasoning. If they won’t pay the luxury tax, they’re betting on fat ass FVV, often injured Adams, and maybe DFS to all get right next year and stay right for entire season. It would alsoo require another miracle health season from KD. The only possible roster additions for next season are 2 second round picks which I imagine they’ll keep. They need 2 guys off the “stay ready crew” to walk to make room for them.
The history of Storm’s End and the Baratheons is every bit as interesting as The North/The Wall, and the Targs. I wish there was more text on the subject. The Laughing Storm has been awesome. Very charismatic actor.
GOT fans are drifting into Star Wars territory here. Unhappy segments of the fanbase no matter what. There are people that exist on this planet that didn’t like Andor.
I think he can do some the point-forward/center stuff that Tatum provided. The Celtics got blown out. The whole team played like shit. I wish the Rockets made a call about Queta. Nice cheap big.
I think we can all agree OKC is a tough matchup for everybody, especially Reed. Wallace and SGA are very fast, quick twitch players. Need to play more zone and pair him with Capella. They’ve shown reluctance to play Capela more than 11-12 minutes a game. Reed plays 24 minutes a game. So for half his minutes, Segun is the rim protector. He’s rapidly improving on defense, but he’s not there yet as a rim protector. I think KD can help there in the playoffs, but it’s already insane what they’re asking him to do in the regular season. Need a big and a combo guard that can score in the buy out market. A 6’4’’ offense/defense PG is probably not going to be available.
Unfortunately, Vucevic is exactly what Boston needed. They didn’t get him for free, but the dumb ass Blazers inexplicably threw Simons in on the Holiday trade.
I don’t think you’re alone in your Lasso opinion. There are many hate watchers out there. I enjoyed Season 1, but the Juno Temple scenes took some power watching. She looks 20 years older than her actual age, and she has zero charisma or spark. Yet, she keeps getting cast. Must be a terrific person and a delight on set.
Sweetheart deal to keep Conley home + the Wolves promised to return the favor down the road? Conley is the former NBPA President so it’s far fetched they’d do him a favor. That’s all I can come up with. Coby White has another year of team control, but Ayo is a much better two way player.
While I lIke the 80’s yuppie update on Cruising, Ellen Barkin is obviously the killer from her first appearance in Sea of Love. The chemistry between Goodman and Pacino is great. I wish they worked together more.
Yeah my buddy worked in one of Johns Hopkins’ buildings. It was a high rise and they had a pretty good view of the street. He said they’d watch cars casually getting stolen all day long. The SOB loves Baltimore. He has Ravens season tickets and flies up there for every game.
Damn. I can’t imagine a DC guy not liking The Wire. A friend of mine went to Johns Hopkins and he loves the show. I’ll get burnt at the stake, but Id probably suggest starting with Season 3. If you like it, watch 1 and 2.
Can somebody explain the Bulls trades to me. They get great value back in Sexton for White, same for Simons for Vucevic, and then they take dogshit back for Ayo. I know Ayo is on an expiring deal, but Dilingham barely plays for the Wolves, is undersized, and probably sucks.
They’re probably deep into shooting, but I hope Ira Parker is giving notes to Ryan Condal. I think House of the Dragon was dead on arrival after changing Blood and Cheese, but I’ll happily take a respectable Season 3.
We really Looney is start raising hell about not playing in NOLA. He could help this team, and there’s no way in hell the Pelicans pick up his second year. He’s gotta leave to have any prayer at a decent next contract. I assume we’re in the market for Cam Thomas?
