  1. Oh noes, we have to find a RB in the portal as good as Wisner, what ever will we do
  2. Ohio State doesn't have unlimited NIL
  3. Did Sark say we were going "all in" on NIL?
  4. Were you under the impression that our NIL resources were infinite? If so, then why?
  5. You can probably get three Scuderos
  6. Coleman is expensive because he's a bonafide X who's an auto target on a big boy down the field route any time it's one on one in man, and provides a big catch radius target against zone. The stats haven't been great so far, but he also has had Jackson Arnold throwing him the ball. Think a Tee Higgins or Georgia Pickens type. Or if he has more juice than I think, maybe a Nico Collins type Wingo is a manufactured touch and then yards after the catch guy in a big body, like a Cordarelle Patterson or Xavier Legette. You're hoping he can be more consistent doing fundamental WR things, but at it is he mostly scares defenses in the WR screen game That said, I'm skeptical that Texas is really being competitive with the market here
  7. Sorry if already posted here, but some Florida posters thing Texas is a team to watch with their young edge player who entered the portal this morning, Jayden Woods Also there's an FSU DB who a national reporter said Texas has had conversations with
  8. Baugh will probably be so expensive that the RB2 will need to be a bargain. I don’t think Hawkins will be cheap
  9. He’s a potential future first round and should be one of the best in the country next year
  10. I don't think they want to go into next season with him as the given starter and to pay him as such. If he wants to stay put for cheap and compete, I think they'd welcome that
  11. Develop your young talented players to be backups. Paying for premium backups likely leads to diminishing returns and is likely suboptimal for your starting 22, assuming some relative level of finite funds Maybe there are special cases where quality depth is fine coming here to sit and learn to be a future coach or something, but I wouldn't count on it or view it as a need or a failure if it doesn't materialize
  12. The depth becomes deeper after you add three starters
  13. A&M is going to blow their wad in this one
  14. Goosby/Wingo prefer as much money as possible while remaining at Texas, while Texas prefers to keep Goosby/Wingo for as little money as possible hope that helps
  15. And probably more expensive
  16. The 20% rake for the agent assumption is absurd if it's accurate. That's a magnitude higher than what they should be making
  17. No, he didn't, per his actions
  18. Memorial Neighborhood
  19. Meeting two college buddies tonight for dinner/drinks near Memorial. Where should we go? Not $$$$ like say Bar Bludorn, but also something better than Chilis
  20. Fud replied to SDG's topic in Football
Everyone there might be on the chopping block, not sure if they're thinking past today
  21. So potential “starter” losses RB- Leveon Moss TE- Nate Boerkircher OT- Trey Zuhn OT- Dametrious Crownover OG- Armaj Reed-Adams WR- KC Concepcion DT- Albert Regis DT- Tyler Onyedim DE- Cashius Howell LB- Scooby Williams NB- Tyreek Chappell S- Bryce Anderson CB- Will Lee Also losing EJ Smith, Amari Daniels, Reuben Fatheree, Dayon Hayes They seem concerned that Chase Bisontits will leave early for the draft, which probably means they'll have to pay up to keep him in school, after they paid up last offseason to keep him in college station Saw one person mention that starting center Nobou could also leave for the draft, but I find that difficult to buy right now, but I'd love to be wrong
  22. And they hired a career WRs coach to run the offense unsupervised
