Colorado (outside of freak blizzards that last for days every few years or so) along with Utah has the best winter weather in the country. I remember a 20f morning...standing on the balcony of a rental cabin, coffee cup in hand, wearing nothing more than sweatpants and a long sleeve T-shirt and being totally fine because I was bathed in the morning sunshine and low humidity.
I find most fcs football just a cut above Texas 6A high school, but I admit once the playoffs begin there is some good football being played. This ND State squad could give some P5 teams issues.
The only concern is he couldn't find much playtime in a struggling secondary. Maybe he goes on to have a good career, who knows, but for whatever reason it didn't happen here.
You aren't alone in that. I live roughly 30 miles from Dallas and only go there when I have good reason. Jerry World is in Arlington though, not even really bordering Dallas since you still have Grand Prairie (or Irving depending on which way you go) as a buffer.
That answers it, thanks. Tossing in someone literally straight out of HS would be a bad idea anyway...and slap in the face of the 3rd and 4th stringers who have been with the team for a while.
Yes, the stormtrooper look is back to being a strength, not a curse like it was under Charlie and Turtle Tom. And was also the uniform used in the greatest CFB game ever, so..
In their mind a media person simply contacting a player to see if they are thinking of entering the portal counts as pushing them in the motherfucker. aggy logic, don't spend too much time trying to make sense of it.
It would be easy to excuse that as a 5 year old suit that he "outgrew", but he was never tall enough for those pants. Looks like he stopped at JC Penney on the way to the aggy plane and just grabbed whatever they had that wasnt too small or too large.
May be just me, but the Cotton Bowl being old and by far the shabbiest stadium either team will play in kinda adds to the charm. Don't get me wrong, some work needs to be done..but idc if the stands are held in place with glued together Fletchers sticks as long as the game remains there and the state Fair is open for business at the time the game is played.
Move it away from the Cotton Bowl/fair and it's simply another conference game in a shitty NFL environment, and home and home would be even less special. I don't get why some people can't understand this.
I don't know if this is true or not, but I read somewhere a few years back that State Fair vendors depend on the inflated crowd numbers that particular weekend and some wouldn't be financially be able to show up if the game goes away from the Cotton Bowl. Of course most of these people have other business ventures the rest of the year, but some of them make the bulk of their yearly money during the state fair weeks.
