  1. You know if he transfers here Helobious is getting a custom #13 jersey with Baughtista on the back.
  2. He started with the players he’s recruited the last four years. How the fuck does that earn him leeway?
  3. In 2022 I convinced myself it was possible Ferrari had absolutely nailed the new regs and Charles could become a WDC. I don't even believe top 4 is possible this go around.
  4. He was pretty much the same as last year, which is a good college QB. He didn't really make any progress as a passer, and he's pretty limited when it comes to reading the field and making plays from the pocket. He's elite at avoiding sacks and extending plays, but his limits as a passer means he takes a lot of hits and he's pretty small. He's not elite, but some school is going to pay him a stupid amount of money, similar to Carson Beck last year, because he's a big upgrade over what a lot of schools have. If Hugh Freeze and Auburn had been able to poach him last year, Hugh Freeze would still have a job. Other coaches will be thinking the same thing this year.
  5. Sac State raised a ton of money to move up to FBS. They had a significantly larger payroll than any other FCS team. It would be like McGuire going 8-4 or 9-3 with this year’s Tech roster. Their record didn’t improve because of his coaching, and failing to even make the playoffs with that kind of payroll advantage points to his poor performance as a coach.
  6. Absolutely crazy that Max throwing a hissy fit in Spain and running into George cost him a title this year. I kind of hope he finishes one short of the record for his career now.
  7. That would be unbelievably dumb. Marion underachieved with a big budget at Sac State this year and has never shown much evidence he can actually coach.
  8. Sure, Leclerc’s used to the Ferrari, but Lewis has had a full season to adjust by now. The reality is age has caught up to Hamilton and Leclerc is a top 3 driver on the grid. Even if the chasm narrows next year with new cars, Leclerc is just significantly faster and better than Hamilton at this point in their careers.
  9. Unfortunately, for 2025 and out confidence in this staff’s evaluation ability, we have a lot of those. Fortunately for our portal prospects in 2026, we can free up a significant amount of money to make a push with Arch next year.
  10. Speaking of ex-coaches… I’m sure this is going to go really well for both Brennan and Deion. No way this turns into an absolute tire fire. And Marion is really committed to his streak of never holding the same job for more than about 12 months.
  11. Ah yes, the classic “he was really our first choice all along for an eight figure position, but we sent the initial offer to the wrong email address and then completely gave up until we whiffed on 30 other candidates” excuse.
  12. lol wut. That’s not even remotely in his favor. it took him 8 games to figure out who his best 5 was, not because of a bunch of individual development along the line. That’s probably the biggest indictment on him. He had no fucking clue who his bets guys were and he tried 4 other options before he lucked into that lineup due to injury.
  13. The burning question for this race is if Max is in 1st, Lando’s in 4th and Oscar’s in 2nd or 3rd, does McLaren give Oscar team orders to drop and swap with Lando and does he follow them? I’m guessing yes to both because Oscar has done everything the team’s asked him so far even when it’s BS, but that would really test the limits of his loyalty.
  14. Yeesh. This seems like a huge mistake. JMU has placed 2 coaches to good P4 gigs in the last 2 years. Seems like they should have kept with hiring up and comers with the promise of a big time gig rather than a guy who just flamed out miserably with all the resources a coach could want. Billy just isn’t a good coach.
  15. Some play their best football in blue jeans.
  16. Newy is dead on here and people need to stop repeating moronic talking points like the one petscii makes above. If Texas played Texas State at home instead of the #1 team in the country on the road, we would be ranked #8 and guaranteed in the CFP. Texas isn't getting punished for losing to Florida. We're being punished for scheduling a meaningful, challenging OOC game. The Committee spouted a bunch of bullshit in the offseason about weighing strength of schedule and is now almost entirely going off of W-L record to seed teams. They probably just killed almost all good OOC matchups for the foreseeable future. More than anything, this sucks for the sport. Secondarily, it sucks for UT this year who are absolutely one of the 12 best teams in the country and would be a no doubt CFP team if we only had the Florida and UGA losses.
  17. Perhaps an ex-QB who views the Honor Code as more of a guideline?
  18. Sure but if Lando hadn't had an engine blow out in Zandvoort, then the title would've been already wrapped up in extremely boring fashion. Max also threw away some very valuable points in Spain when he threw a fit and drove into George. That should be the most talked about "what if." He threw away points for no reason because he thought he had no chance at the title. Those points could easily end up being the difference in him winning or losing the WDC.
  19. lol wut. He was in the lead. He gets to decide when he pits. He should have told the team he was pitting on lap 25.
  20. Braindead move by Piastri to not demand to pit on lap 25. He had a 4 second lead and would’ve been safe from the undercut. Norris would’ve had to pit on 24 and would’ve had one less lap to build the gap to Alonso.
  21. This race is such a joke. 11 car DRS train behind Alonso going slow as fuck but no one can do anything about it. Fuck Liberty and FOM for taking this money grab.
  22. Qatar is a motogp track and it shows. Way too many high speed turns for cars to be able to follow close. Plus you have the ridiculous tire rules. But Liberty’s gotta get that Middle East money.
  23. There was an article on the F1 reddit about the FIA finding a skirting of the rules by teams in Brazel related to the skid block being made of a material that compresses when heated to avoid skid wear and be able to run lower. Probably not a coincidence that right after the FIA catches this McLaren has both cars DQ'd for skid wear.
  24. Really good idea. Kirby Smart, UGA alum, is totally open to getting money whipped by other schools.
