Ya - defense has been special (to borrow a Baggy-ism) as of late. Last error by a non-pitcher goes even further back - maybe 18 games (April 8)?

Just echoing what most are typing about the Athletic ... I subscribed Friday in response to one of their flash sales (entire year for $29.99) and so far I'm very pleased with the content. The Astros stuff is great - I'm still catching up on some of the prior articles. I haven't read the Morton Q&A yet, but there was a really good breakdown of the offense struggles (at the time ... before games 2-4 of the Seattle series and the ChiSox series) that was excellent. Highly recommend just for the Astros coverage.- 2017-18 Spurs Thread: Probably no buckets for Kawhi

Don’t care about the rep - you can have all your heart desires. Your hyperactivity is mind bottling ... I don’t know what else you have that entertains you but it’s kind of to the point of enough already around here. Surely there are more productive outlets available in your life.- is this place fading away?
I'm trying to figure out how this Hugo guy posts nothing that is related to or even tangential to UT, yet dominates the board. Weird. Can we vote him off if he can't recite from memory the call from Steelers Roll Left?- Wives and the Stupid Shit They Say/Do

Several of those Braves rotations from the 1990s are up there - just on the basis of having Maddox, Glavine, Smoltz, and whoever else. 1993 - Greg Maddux (20-10, 2.36), Tom Glavine (22-6, 3.20), Steve Avery (18-6, 2.94), John Smoltz (15-11, 3.62) 1998 - Greg Maddux (18-9, 2.22), Tom Glavine (20-6, 2.47), Denny Neagle (16-11, 3.55), Kevin Millwood (17-8, 4.08), John Smoltz (17-3, 2.90)- 2018 Houston Astros Season Thread

This story ... sometimes bad is bad. Ah doo doo doo doo doo doo ah- 2017-18 Spurs Thread: Probably no buckets for Kawhi
Eh ... maybe, maybe not. Season averages: Green: 36 % ... 1.4+ 3PM for same number of 3PA Mills: 37% ... 1.73+ 3PM " Gay: 31% ... 1.65+ 3PM " Bertans: 37% ... 2.81+ 3PM " For a grand total of 7.59+ 3PM. Rounding up that's 23 points lost compared to season averages ... almost there over the first two games (-36)!- Ready for Kawhi to be gone.
It's not a similar injury. A complete tear is probably easier to treat than the undefinable injury that is affecting Kawhi. I also suspect the Spurs told him to stay away after the distractions from a month or so ago. I don't disagree it may be time to trade him. If he's going to have difficulty fighting through chronic pain to the point he can't be relied upon to be in the lineup, then why even consider offering him the supermax? If that's going to piss him off, then the Spurs can't willfully stay put and risk losing him for nothing. The "whys" of all this are complicated and will probably never see the light of day. The "what to do" is simple if the Spurs follow a logical progression ... (1) decide if you want to offer the supermax; and (2) if the answer to (1) is "no thanks" because that salary commitment is too risky given Kawhi's health/behavior/attitude toward the team, trade him for the best package of young talent and picks that can be extracted. In the meantime, try to take all actions that will not dilute the ability to pick (1) or (2).- Ready for Kawhi to be gone.
I think I this is prudent, but only if Kawhi chips in for an insurance policy that covers some portion of his salary should his injury prove to be chronic. - For Sale - Klose smoker
