No fucking shock there. Can't dare to make the CFP selections look suspect.
I still think Bama should have been the ones on the outside looking in and when the SECSECSEC choads like Finebaum whined about it the loss, at home, to a team that got in ahead of them can be thrown back in their face. Instead they took a "well actually the regular season doesn't mean shit, deal with it" approach against all logic.
Was pretty solid at WVU, mind you he also had Will Grier to work with at QB. Year before WVU was 50th in scoring / 17th in YPG. Those 2 years they were 22nd scoring / 20th YPG, and 10th scoring / 8th YPG.
I'm legitimately not sure what impresses me more: How bad their drafting outside the first round has been for the past 20 years, or the fact that literally everyone in that timespan that's been taken outside the first round that's been worth a damn had to do it through a different organization (Marino, Gustafson, Reider). Skinner might break that trend but he might not get the chance long-term if he keeps having to play behind that dumpster fire defense.
Not usually. They might make an exception for getting bowl eligible considering how shit we've been the last few years though. Personally I'd save it for beating some Sooner ass next week.
And TBF they recruited the hell out of me as well as a non athlete. Pretty sure they were doing it for anyone with a pulse at the time that wasn't a complete dumbass... Don't get me wrong I'm still a dumbass, just not a complete one.
And the bullshit the Sens pulled with the Dadonov trade in violation of his NTC a couple years back just cost them a future first round pick, and their GM his job.

not gonna lie, I just ordered the senior version of that shirt since it comes with the wrist protection as well. Even in bullshit B-C beer league games I've seen some rather nasty incidents though nothing close to what happened to Johnson. There's no reason not to play with that level of protection if it's available and not cumbersome.
Yep, every single Cup winner since that Caps cup win has been just stupid levels of deep, especially on defense. The Oilers and Leafs will get a ridiculous amount of hype every year, but until they actually take depth and defense seriously they're also-rans to me. I just can't take them seriously until they show that they have the ability to play lock-down defense. It's not 1985 anymore, you can't win a cup with teams built the way theirs are.
100%. Was a great look for 25 damn years. When you get it right don't mess with it. As much as I enjoyed the Rich Rod years that's when we started screwing with one of the best looks in the sport.
Hell at least you guys got it right when you went back to the script look.
Not joking when I say it was more expensive for pops and I to catch the Hurricanes home opener in Raleigh last night than it would have been for us to fly down from RDU to catch this game
