I would say no becuz because the 247 Composite is already not equally weighted.- 2023 Texas Coaching and Support Staff Thread
I'm guessing this is considered an underwhelming OC hire by Saban becuz some of the UT fans on Twitter are acting like this news means UT will win at Bama in September.- Realignment talk not going away
*Kanye Shrugs*. Aggy won 11 games in their first season in the SEC season. Mizzou also had instant success. I look at this way, not only does UT get 2 more seasons to beat up on the Big 12, UT gets 2 more seasons to upgrade & churn their roster for the SEC gauntlet in '25.- Realignment talk not going away
I might be 1 of the few UT fans who is happy with UT & OU not leaving for the SEC until '25 & getting to beat up on the Big 12 for 2 more seasons before facing the SEC gauntlet. So I'm pleased with this news today.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
I just saw on the local DFW FOX affiliate that Red Oak ISD is closed today. Is Warren Robertson still gonna announce who he's signing with today?- Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars

I wonder if this affects USC pursuing Duce.- 2023 Longhorns Football Offseason News and Notes
Nahlin reported this week that Mo Blackwell is up to 210 LBs now. Seeing that DMO just weighed in at 220 LBs at the Senior Bowl while being 6'4 while Blackwell is 6'1 seems like good news as Blackwell reaching 220 LBs (or starting LB playing weight) seems attainable this offseason. Definitely can see Blackwell starting at 1 of the LB spots, but Nahlin says Blackwell is more likely to be the guy at Sam LB (DTD's spot last season) instead of Will LB (Overshown's spot last season). Also surprising to see that Blackwell is gonna be a true Junior this upcoming season. I didn't realize that his redshirt was burned a couple seasons ago.- 2023 Texas Coaching and Support Staff Thread

Follow-up posts by GH: 1. "One source thinks this could end up Texas vs. USC The other sources is UGA, USC or Texas. We shall see." 2. GH on if pro baseball is on the table for Duce: "Potentially yes. Could go a college football, minor league baseball route. IMO, everything seems to be on the table right now." 3. "When I say Texas recruits through the whistle ... this recruitment is it. Even if Robinson decides to not sign this week, or in the signing window, Texas plans to recruit Robinson until the end." 4. "One source doesn't believe he will sign in the late window, which runs through April 1. Just sign scholarship papers and show up to a school in June. Doesn't mean he wouldn't announce a decision until June, to be clear."- Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
I'm surprised nobody has posted GH's latest report on Duce: " Texas Longhorns remain in play for Duce Robinson The Texas Longhorns remain in play for the nation’s top tight end prospect Duce Robinson. The On3 Consensus five-star and two-sport standout from Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle hosted USC, Georgia and Texas for in-home visits last week. The USC and Georgia in-home visits on Monday have been previously reported. Inside Texas can report that Texas assistants Jeff Banks and Kyle Flood made an in-home visit with Robinson and family on Thursday. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian made his in-home with the Robinson family in December. The month of January began with Georgia and Texas receiving most of the behind the scenes chatter with USC in third. The USC in-home visit Monday helped the Trojans cause according to a source close to the recruitment. Will Robinson sign this week? Patience could be the key for the programs still in the mix for the 6-foot-6, 225-pound playmaker. There is a 50-50 chance Robinson chooses not to sign this week. The signing period runs through April 1. There is also the option of not signing a letter of intent, and only signing scholarship papers and reporting to the college of his choice in June. Working out for scouts for the 2023 MLB Draft is also very much in play for Robinson. The MLB Draft will be held July 17-19 in Los Angeles. "- Texas Preferred Walk-Ons: Good Kids from Good Families

Back to the topic of Saban potentially hiring Lebby as OC... Can y'all really imagine Saban going all & in making the changes needed to run the the Veer & Shoot Briles offense? Remember all the changes that Coach Strong had to make with practice structure & hiring analysts/GAs who knew the offense when he hired Gilbert & Mattox after the 2015 season?- Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
