Looking at Solomon Williams' On3 recruiting profile... what does UT see in him that they couldn't get from an high 3-star/low 4-star in-state EDGE prospect?
I haven't been keeping up Nigel Smith's recruitment. Is there a reason he didn't seem to be a priority for UT? I remember he was being talked up as the 2nd best in-state EDGE recruit earlier this year.
I'm watching popular CFB recruiting YouTuber Sharpe Sports' video that he put out a month & half ago breaking down the HUDL film of UT's summer commits. I busted out LOL during the Parker Livingstone segment thinking about the posters in this thread who were calling Livingstone a JAG throughout this Summer:
Thinking back to the WRs UT recruited in the '23 recruiting cycle, Livingstone is definitely a better X WR prospect than the Arizona kid that was previously committed to USC & the Houston area kid that was previously committed to UT that ended up at UH. Livingstone is faster & just moves better than those guys.
I talked about IT's new weekly X&O's show with Rod Babers & Ian Boyd last week, but IT's new show where Rod Babers sits down with Gerry Hamilton and breaks down what he saw in the HUDL film of some of UT's recruiting commits & targets is also good stuff:
Earlier this summer or spring... IT, OB, & Horns247 all did a livestream on the same Friday. The amount of viewers for the Horns247 livestream was abysmal compared to the livestreams from OB & IT that same day. It might be over for them.
.
Whenever Burton has people like CDC or the UT Board of Regents Chairman as a guest on a IT video, I just assume these are the people that that Bobby is referring to when he talks about having high-level sources
Burton confirmed this morning that Rod Babers is officially with IT now & is gonna be doing a lot more content with them. Including something I've been waiting for: Ian Boyd & Babers doing a show discussing X&O's and Strategy. Babers will also do content with Scipio Tex.
Gotta wonder if this will effect Babers' Horns247 Longhorn Blitz podcast with Jeff Howe.
No, I'm not. Like I said weeks ago when it launched, OB's new format of doing 9 hours of livestream content every weekday is too much like a sports radio station format. That's too time-consuming to watch all that. They need to go back to doing podcast-style YouTube shows to get me to watch again.
I'm also annoyed IT also now does a weekday morning livestream on top of the other YouTube shows & afternoon/evening livestreams they already do. I gotta assume IT is doing the weekday morning livestream for the superchat money more so than competing with OB's new format.
I haven't watched today's OB Modcast yet, but yesterday's livestream was discussing how Sark at UT (along with Lincoln Riley at USC) have rebuilt & restocked their rosters to the point that each are now in the top 6 of CFB when it comes to amount of super blue chip players (5-star & high 4-star players) on their rosters. They also talked about the fact that despite UGA & Bama being the top 2 on the list, they've fallen off from where they were in 2021 and there's more parody now. Aggy is #3 on the list.
EDIT:
Here's the chart:
I just on Texas Homer's latest video that dropped today that WR Parker Livingstone ran 22.4 MPH via catapult. What does that translate to in the 40-yard dash time or 100-meter time?
