Guitar shipping stages of grief: Denial: That can’t be right? They said Saturday at the latest. I bet once it gets in their system it will update. Anger: Well, fuck. Those bastards sure took my money right away. Then they take 3 days to get it ready to ship?! Bargaining: If only I would have pulled the trigger last week, then it would have been here by now. Depression: No new guitar this weekend.... this totally sucks. Acceptance: Well, at least it’s on the way. Next week is fine. Hope it arrives in good shape....

My Saturday arrival is now next Tuesday. Mighty Guitar Gods, I am sorry for my gentle teasing of Deej. I will accept my punishment.

It has not arrived yet. Someone on Talkbass posted a pic of a NOS Musicman a store had for sale as a heads up. Meanwhile, I'm thinking "So, about that Sonic Blue Fender.....) Here is his pic.

As someone who may or may not have just purchased another P Bass, this hits too close to home.

Congrats on the new job! If it will help, I can take that PRS off your hands.

I like Deej's suggestion, but here is a link that may help. https://www.guitaranswerguy.com/guitar-string-wont-intonate/

Can you change the bridge screw to a flush mount or at least a lower profile to give you some more room? How close are you to getting the intonation? That seems like a lot of travel. Have you checked to see if the screw mount underneath has ovaled? Maybe your bridge has slid up on the E string under a loose mount?? It can happen due to stress from tremolo use on that side.

The guitar falling off the wall shouldn’t really be an issue if you use toggle bolts or drywall anchors. The main problem I have had is over extended periods of time, taking the guitar on an off of the wall repeatedly eventually leads to the drywall material squished between the screw and the anchor breaking down and getting a bit loose. Then again, I am putting a heavier bass up there and not an acoustic.

In my experience, they all suck over time. Eventually the sheetrock pinched between breaks down and the attachment loosens. Then I just have a bigger hole in the sheetrock to patch. I would go with a cross support in the studs and mount to that.

CL find yesterday. Absolutely no need for it, but it was cheap and the seller was 20 min away from me. Sounds fantastic. Great clean tone and nice distortion when you push the gain up. Fender Rumble is now in time out.

So, how does it sound? It looks aces.- The Guitar Pron Thread
He has a book out about the history of bass and his collection.- Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass. I'm about half way through it right now. Lots of great photos and nerdy details about the instruments.- The Guitar Pron Thread
They say you can never go back. But in this case..... https://www.toneshopguitars.com/collections/used-gear/products/used-rickenbacker-360-12-fireglow-w-case-tsu6687- The Guitar Pron Thread
My local shop has this coming in. They are pretty awesome to deal with and can always find a way to save you a buck or three if you drop in to say hi. If you are considering Gretsch, you may want to give them a call. https://www.toneshopguitars.com/collections/gretsch/products/grestch-g6131t-my-malcolm-young-signature-jet-ebony-fingerboard-natural https://www.toneshopguitars.com/collections/gretsch/products/gretsch-g6120t-players-edition-nashville-w-string-thru-bigsby-filtertron-pickups-orange-stain-w-case- The Guitar Pron Thread
Songsterr doesn't have as much of that for sure. They focus on having one accurate tab per song. Your options seem more based on style of play. Here are the options for Stairway:- The Guitar Pron Thread
There is a limited free version to try out. The tabs feel a bit more accurate. I don't have as much "that doesn't sound right" moments. I have not tried UG in a while, it may have improved, but I find the entire interface on Songsterr much more user friendly for me. Filtering songs based on tuning or difficulty is nice. My kid's drum instructor turned him onto it, then I got into it for bass. It has made it an easy way for us to pick songs and play together.- The Guitar Pron Thread
If you are considering Ultimate Guitar, check out Songsterr. I personally find it more accurate and easier to use. Totally worth the cost for me. In addition to guitar and bass, they have drum tabs as well.- These Go to 11 - The Guitar Amp Thread
