  1. Feels like cook is waiting until the rest of the guys commit and wants to be the one to cap it off by then end of the night.
  2. Good catch.
  3. Let's stop acting like USC or any pac 12 job in general is a huge deal in baseball. The UCSB coach just told them no as well. Tulo played in the biggest stadiums and in front of the biggest crowds for a decade then coached at the premiere baseball school in the country for 3. Why would he want to play in front of 500 people every night when he can take time off and wait for a major HC job in the south with his resume? Here is where he would be coaching at home and traveling to in the pac 12. Meanwhile he has been coaching in stadiums like this against Big 12 and SEC play.
  4. Sounds like he wants a year off to wait for a more competitive job to open. And that assistant spot sounds ripe for a 2nd pitching coach that can focus solely on pitchers and not recruiting.
  5. Wish one of these private schools in Texas would schedule a game in Dallas or even something in ETX against Isadore. That may be the most attended non playoff game of the year if so.
  6. Then his offenses did this to them while at Bama
  7. By far the funniest thing I heard yesterday came from an aggie friend who told me that Arch was a great get but that Texas did not have the money to get the #1 overall class.
  8. That's all the big ones spent their time on yesterday. They are already rooting for this to fail.
  9. Feel like he'll be the best player of this draft wherever he goes
  10. It look longer than 14 days but a .333 batting average isn't terrible
  11. Dang. Maybe next time we can get a qb who would make the two deep at a&m
  12. A single QB being a play away from championships in back to back years would be the biggest moment in their history. For us it may crack the top 20
  13. Here is some direct evidence this is not your average #1 overall recruit commitment. Quinn made waves when he transferred here his announcement got 25k likes and pushed him to his current 42k followers after having an established twitter presence. Arch is already over 104k likes and 25k followers with a single tweet. No doubt this is the biggest commitment in the history of college football.
  14. Of course this all went down as soon as I got into the car for a lunch meeting. What a huge moment for Texas and 10 year old me who's first favorite football player was Peyton Manning.
  15. Pretty much all he's done is rack up top 25 ERA squads in the last 20 years so it's definitely deserved.
  16. If they let Allen go the day after the season ended in Omaha then they're already zeroed in on at least a couple of great hires and it's just a matter of double checkout before making the move.
  17. Ole Miss and Arkansas took a step back from last year during the regular season and happened to get super hot at the right time. Vandy and LSU were not impressive either compared to their standard. Then Miss State missed the post season all together so yes this was a down year for the SEC until a couple of their middle of the pack teams went on an insane tear in the post season out of nowhere
  18. Maybe but they benefited from a down SEC and SEC west this year. Bad fielding teams without high ending pitching usually don't fare well long term. Lets see him do it when Miss State, Vandy, and Ole Miss reload. Then we join with OU in a couple of years.
  19. IT mentioned that the target date is 2024 and that ESPN, OU, and UT all have to be careful what they say publicly. 2023 is the real goal but the Big 12 not having a permanent commissioner in place to handle the $150 million dilemma of Texas and OU leaving.
  20. Whats gonna suck the most is that the aggies will parade around and talk about being the "story of the college baseball" season cause its Schloss' first year while OU and Ole Miss will probably make the championship as non seeded teams and in Ole Miss' case the last team in. OU getting there does the least amount of harm, any more aggie victories and they will rise to a level of unbearable not yet seen.
