  1. A man running in the woods with a dog's face on the back of his coat.
  2. That's like naming your boy Sue.
  3. I've shown up at lunchtime on a Saturday to a full parking lot and a line of people inside. Thankfully, the line was a bunch of hipsters getting fancy coffee like products. I've never waited in much of a line for barbecue.
  4. To keep the the important metrics up - you can catch four types of trout in downtown Boulder.
  5. Holzhauer was on pre-covid, but people have been bouncing categories for a long as I can remember.
  6. You must have missed the description on page 2.
  7. A few years ago, Texas added a BS in economics to the School of Liberal Arts. Many of the same courses as business degrees. My oldest accepted the CAP offer out of high school and graduated with an degree in economics from Texas in May. Now she's making good money as a financial analyst in Austin.
  8. Are there fifteen blonde-haired people with ridiculously similar sounding names? If so, I'm out.
  9. I thought y'all would appreciate this driveway. Daily drivers of a lady who lives around the corner.
  10. Usually when the waiter hands you the card reader thing to add a tip and sign the tip button is in the middle, often 20%, is lit up. On Friday night, I watched the waiter hit the higher outside button (28%) before handing it to me. I'm sure plenty of people just sign and he ends up with a higher tip than people would regularly leave. No sir, you'll get 20% and be happy about it.
  11. What a dominant 3rd quarter.
  12. I keep mine by the back door to shoot squirrels that try to get into my owl box. It's powerful enough to get their attention, but that's about it.
  13. If you are in north Austin or the northern burbs, I'd recommend Maple Leaf Appliance Repair.
  14. It is definitely easier now than in was a few years ago. My daughter fills out her portion and then has FAFSA sent me a email for the parent portion. I thought it was necessary for the school's merit based scholarship funds, but maybe not. She graduates in December of this year, so I shouldn't have to do another. Graduate school will be on her, so we'll have to figure out how she can do the loan/grant/scholarship process with only her information.

  16. If it were .40 off per gallon every time I filled up, possibly. I'm not going to download an app to save $8 on some random day in January. I don't even know where the nearest Circle K is located. I'm glad its working for you and appreciate you letting everyone know about it, though. Side note - I was in Hutto one day grabbing some barbecue. As I was leaving, I noticed the new 76 gas station had just opened and was offering gas for .76 a gallon for a few hours. I was driving a suburban at the time and it was when gas was about as high as I ever remember it being. I was happy to get in line for a few minutes for that deal and was ecstatic that my tank was below 1/4.
  17. This. It's really not that long of a wait considering they open at 8:00. Last time I was there, they opened just after 7:30.
  18. Is it possible to disappoint the entire world population in a matter of minutes?
