Can we talk about Zuckerberg?
He's one of the most successful men in business, and our society reflects those values. He's knowingly allowed his platform to be used for a genocide. He knowingly endorses and enables pedophilia and child exploitation. Nothing matters to anyone of importance or power as long as line goes up. Orange man out front shoulda told ya.

trust me lol, I'm at least smarter than the average bear with covering some of my digital tracks. Javascript blocking and URL scrubbing goes a LOOOOONG way. It's not deep, dark magic. It's just data science. If you can put enough noise into their data, it becomes computationally unprofitable to spy on you and they'll fuck with someone else. And you're right - I do need to internalize that the same idiots where were incensed over HIPAA during COVID are now gleeful at it being shredded, just so some dark skin folks can be terrorized. Same as cheering on rittenhouse but demonizing Pretti and suddenly being very VERY against the 2A, and being extremely butthurt when confronted with that dichotomy

The brown shirts are getting new marching orders: stop making us look bad! It's remarkable that they are admitting that they were hassling anyone and everyone with no regard to legal status or paperwork. Pretty big own goal for the fascists here ReutersExclusive: ICE officers in Minnesota directed not to inte...The new internal guidance reviewed by Reuters also orders U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to only target immigrants who have criminal charges or convictions. The new guidance, offering the most detailed look so far at how operations would change after two fatal shootings of U.S. citizens protesting in Minneapolis, also orders U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers only to target immigrants who have criminal charges or convictions. That would mark a departure from the broad sweeps that have provoked backlash and legal challenges in Minneapolis and other U.S. cities. "DO NOT COMMUNICATE OR ENGAGE WITH AGITATORS," said an email disseminated by a top ICE official. "It serves no purpose other than inflaming the situation. No one is going to convince the other. The only communication should be the officers issuing commands." In response to a request to the White House for comment, an administration official said, "There are ongoing conversations on how to most effectively conduct operations in Minnesota. No guidance should be considered final until it is officially issued." The operational shift comes after Trump said this week that he aimed to “de-escalate” tension in Minneapolis and St. Paul after federal immigration officers killed two U.S. citizens there this month. In both cases, Trump officials swiftly portrayed the deceased as aggressors, an assertion undercut by video evidence. Trump tasked border czar Tom Homan to take over operations in Minnesota, in what a senior official told Reuters would be a shift to a more “targeted” approach to enforcement. Border Patrol commander-at-large Gregory Bovino - who led confrontational sweeps in Los Angeles, Chicago and other cities - was demoted and will soon retire, Reuters reported. Under the new guidance outlined in the email, ICE officers will receive megaphones so that they can issue commands to the public and "need to verbalize every step of the arrest process."

So after drinking and thinking a little, I'm pretty sure they are using stolen SSN data from DOGE, cross referenced with the Medicaid data mentioned by the medical journal. From there it's relatively trivial to do anomaly detection to find when SSNs are showing up unexpectedly. Since undocumented people tend to reuse SSNs to pay taxes and gain access to services, they could just send ICE to wherever there's a level of anomaly past a threshold. At least that's my read as a practitioner and specialist who understands the underlying data science. That would certainly explain why they're just going to addresses and ripping people out without asking questions or checking, like what's happened in some Hmong communities.

What the fuck? This is legit reporting, ICE is using health data to pursue and terrorize their targets. It's a massive HIPAA violation what the fucking fuck https://www.bmj.com/content/392/bmj.s168 ICE and Palantir: US agents using health data to hunt “illegal immigrants”BMJ 2026; 392 doi: https://doi.org/10.1136/bmj.s168 (Published 27 January 2026)Cite this as: BMJ 2026;392:s168 Luke Taylor Author affiliations US immigration agents are using an app developed by Palantir that draws on the health records of millions of Americans to find and detain people they deem illegal immigrants. The revelation comes as the US’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) comes under increased scrutiny after the shooting of Alex Pretti, a 37 year old intensive care nurse, by ICE agents in Minneapolis over the weekend. It has now emerged that data from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is being fed—along with other commercial and public datasets—into an analytics app developed by Palantir, according to an investigation by news outlet 404 Media.1 Testimony from an ICE official and internal documents obtained by 404 show the app, Enhanced Leads Identification and Targeting for Enforcement (Elite), maps areas to help agents decide where to conduct detention raids. The tool was reportedly used in recent operations, including a raid in Oregon in October in which 30 people were arrested. According to the 404 investigation, Elite pulls names, addresses, and photos from health records. It reportedly works like Google Maps, showing ICE agents which areas have higher densities of people who could be detained. It also generates dossiers on individuals, including their name, photo, and “confidence scores” that they are at home.

Can we talk about Zuckerberg?
Member when people used to get mad about sexualizing children? Truly, America is great again ReutersMeta CEO Zuckerberg blocked curbs on sex-talking chatbots...Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg approved allowing minors to access AI chatbot companions that safety staffers warned were capable of sexual interactions, according to internal Meta documents fileJan 27 (Reuters) - Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg approved allowing minors to access AI chatbot companions that safety staffers warned were capable of sexual interactions, according to internal Meta documents filed in a New Mexico state court case and made public Monday. The lawsuit – brought by the state’s attorney general, Raul Torrez, and scheduled for trial next month – alleges that Meta "failed to stem the tide of damaging sexual material and sexual propositions delivered to children" on Facebook and Instagram. The filing on Monday included internal Meta employee emails and messages obtained by the New Mexico Attorney General's Office through legal discovery. The state alleges they show that "Meta, driven by Zuckerberg, rejected the recommendations of its integrity staff and declined to impose reasonable guardrails to prevent children from being subject to sexually exploitative conversations with its AI chatbots," the attorney general said in the filing. In the communications, some of Meta’s safety staff expressed objections that the company was building chatbots geared for companionship, including sexual and romantic interactions with users. The artificial intelligence chatbots were released in early 2024. The documents cited in the state’s filing Monday don’t include messages or memos authored by Zuckerberg. Meta spokesman Andy Stone on Monday said the state’s portrayal was inaccurate and relied on selective information. "This is yet another example of the New Mexico Attorney General cherry-picking documents to paint a flawed and inaccurate picture." Messages in the filing showed safety staff had special concern about the bots being used for romantic scenarios between adults and minors under the age of 18, referred to as “U18s.” “I don’t believe that creating and marketing a product that creates U18 romantic AI’s for adults is advisable or defensible,” wrote Ravi Sinha, head of Meta’s child safety policy, in January 2024. In reply, Meta global safety head Antigone Davis agreed that safety staff should push to block adults from creating underage romantic companions because “it sexualizes minors.”

The whole interview with Pablo Torre is a great watch, they literally have thank you notes from russian regiments explicitly thanking them for breaking sanctions, along with other NBA owners on record saying they have no idea where he gets his revenue from Edit: basically Ubiquity has no sales teams and exclusively uses 3rd party partner vendors. They have zero compliance or anything like that. In the reporting, they pose as a russian and the ubiquity sales rep helps them set up a sale that is brokered through Turkey so that they can evade sanctions. They even have a $100k order minimum since it's breaking sanctions. And they were fined $500k in 2019 as a first time offense after it turned out they are the backbone of Iran's network infrastructure, so they are teed up to get whacked

Epstein and Maxwell
Well TBH the thing of it is when you're dealing with fascists, they're going to act as if you did do the horrible terrible thing so that they can justify the act themselves. YOU are guilty of the same overconfidence in ability to withstand trump, given the years of you convincing us that Aileen Cannon wasn't in the tank for trump, and the justice system wasn't working actively for his advantage

Andor
Pretty good mapping of Andor to current events - which is pitch-perfect with Gilroy's intent. Great analysis, occassionally trips over his words, but the comparison of how Minneapolis is being treated and enduring to Ghorman rings true to me. Ghorman was targetted with propaganda campaigns to eventually justify a step up in military presence and eventually put on the mask and do a good old fashioned atrocity with faceless stormtroopers. Once they're wearing masks, it isn't for their protection. It's because they have permission for what is about to happen. If you're sensitive to the issues and current events, sorry and please scroll on.

Copyright law has been abused via the DMCA in which it becomes a federal felony to "break a digital lock" (read: decrypt a file). Right to repair is currently stymied by companies arbitrarily encrypting protocols and software interfaces for the sole purpose of denying repair and extensibility. That's exactly what John Deere has been doing for a decade plus now. It's the ultimate anticompetitive cudgel to enable the most profit extraction possible

I don't think we can say that person really exists at scale, is the thing. The data simply doesn't support it. Sure there may be a bunch of folks who try it once, but then they go back to their old workflows MAU numbers and token consumption would be SIGNIFICANTLY higher if the average American worker was using Gemini/ChatGPT/Claude for everyday work and leisure
