  1. At least we'll always have Chip Brown to tell us sweet little lies.
  2. Extremely Tight Ends Coach
  3. Good thing Herman went his own way. Otherwise, this board would have had a total landslide.
  4. But everyone knows the all important phase is the next one, which is the "Hopefully he can get over the fact that Herman shot boogers at him and gave him a wedgie while he was reading the contract" phase.
  5. There have been some really nice one-off packages or plays that Herman has implemented that have worked really well for us. Like the empty set RPO package Herman put in before the TCU game in 2018. Or some of the TE/RB throwback stuff we used to great effect in 2017 with Chris Warren and Daniel Young. This past year, I can think of the delayed sideline pass to Cade Brewer against oSu that helped us win that game. But as a general rule, having a scheme that routinely relies on putting defenders in conflict and then exploiting those weaknesses? Naw. We haven't been super great at that. The other thing I like about this look is that since the WR is behind the LOS, he's a true option for the QB. The QB can slow play his attack on the line of scrimmage, if the safety is screaming towards him (instead of covering the screen) and then hit the WR.
  6. His penchant for running zone read out of 10 personnel is enough to convince me that he could be really effective on our staff. Here's a video of him scheming out ZR from 10 personnel. He doesn't draw it up this way on the whiteboard, but if you stick around for the cutups of them running ZR against Tech, he uses a fake WR screen to pull strong safety away from the QB run lane, which also allows the WR enough time to both pull off the fake and block the safety:

  8. I know who he is. My post was about last offseason, when Holgo left WVU for Houston, I recall there being rumors that Carrier was going to come to Texas, instead of following Holgo to Houston.
  9. Copied from Super Ks post so please redirect your @Katfid54. You guys have to stop sucking my dick. I can only orgasm so many times before 10 a.m.
  10. Carrier is a re-tread name from last cycle, right? Wasn't he floated around a couple times last offseason as a potential Meh replacement?
  11. Folks on the football board's coaching staff thread are saying that some of the $9.95ers are reporting that Beck's locker is cleaned out.
  12. I would be so thrilled with Yurcich. If that dude could get our running game even 1/2 as competent as Okie State's has been for the last decade, it would drastically improve our team. Not to mention how aggressive oSu always is with wide open deep shots. No more derping down the field throwing to the sticks on 3rd and 7. Get ready for Brennan Eagles to kill defenses with Mills, if this hire happens.
  13. That was the game where we kept trotting Ash out, even though he was so badly wounded he couldn't even move, right? And then we plugged in Case late in the game and almost clawed our way back into it? I have fucking nightmares about that game, too.
  14. Wasn't that Latham Ransom?
  15. If this news was already posted earlier this week, I missed it. That sucks.
  16. Word is he's getting a PC Load Letter error when trying to send the fax.
  17. I always thought NLI and LOI meant the same thing....?
  18. That's a font. Not handwriting.
  19. It would count for this year, but he would still retain his redshirt for this year because you are now allowed to play in 4 games? and still retain redshirt status. These lessor bowls are good time to get some PT in for you redshirting guys. Especially if you expect them to be big contributors next season. Didn't he redshirt last year? So he has no redshirt to preserve this year. He already used it.
  20. He's also working on a state championship this week I believe IIRC, Keontay didn't sign on NSD1, either, because he was playing in the state title game.
  21. Central That's definitely one of them.
  22. Honestly, I'm starting to think that the reason we haven't heard anything on Harrell is because Herman is going to hire Kevin Wilson.
