I almost bought it yesterday. Not too worried about the differences from past versions or anything like that.
What halted me was the bullshit business practice of not including everything in the base game. If you want all the leaders and their UU and UA, you have to shell out almost twice as much for the “special” version that includes everyone.
That right there is why they’re not getting anything out of me until it’s complete and goes on sale. I would be ok with a slightly buggy game on release that needed patches, as long as I got the entire game on purchase. This locking content behind additional paywalls is bullshit.
Conspiracy Theory:
Tucker is the most accurate FG kicker in history. After this last season, his percentage plunged and now shitass Harrison Butker is within half a percentage point of him. Knowing he was on the downward slide, and with his status as the GOAT in jeopardy, Tucker had his people leak the rumors to the newspaper and point them in the right direction. Now he'll be forced to retire with his FG percentage intact, with no danger of further slippage.

I’ve about had it with this public domain “rock” music they’re playing into commercial breaks. With the millions they’re making, can’t they at least shell out for the real Panama?
I'm just tuning in to watch the dumbasses not understand that history is typically measured against contemporaries. Shit changes over time. Cumulative stats are inflated by longer careers/terms of service. Only someone with the brain of a child would judge the following simply by their counting stats instead of their impact on history:
Rolls Royce Silver Ghost vs. Honda Civic: Ghost has a top speed of 60 mph and a 4 speed clutch. Honda Civic runs away with it.
Jesse Owens vs. Derrick Florence (1986 Galveston Ball HS): Florence would smoke Owens 10.13 to 10.3.
Red Grange 1925 vs. Keaontay Ingram 2019: Ingram's 853 yds exceed the Galloping Ghost by about 250 yds.
So I guess some of us would say that the Honda Civic was a better car than the Silver Ghost, Derrick Florence is a better athlete than Jesse Owens, and that Red Grange was an inferior running back to Keaontay Ingram. The rest of us would say that times change, and of course Jesse Owens is a better historical athlete than some rando high school kid none of us has ever heard of.

Initial reactions range from "Texas slaughters them" to "Texas wins comfortably"
Talking heads start saying "well actually..." to position themselves as contrarian and present a dissenting opinion as part of the natural news cycle
More talking heads start parroting the possibility of an upset
Prominent talking heads give airtime and credence to the idea that the plucky underdog actually is pretty damn good and identify Texas as a team vulnerable to an upset
Fans of both teams start buying the media version of reality. Texas fans start shitting themselves in fear, underdog fans start believing they actually have a chance
Gameday arrives, Texas wins by 2 touchdowns and covers.
