Benched due to poor play. Supposedly is physically healthy. Apparently he's pretty weak mentally.- Texas opens as a 16 point favorite v TCU
Mud hole.- Jimbo 2021: Meemaw's Got a Brand New Bag
The only solace I take from that thread is that most of the mouth-breathers still blame Mond and not Jimbo.- Vandy @ aggy
Big win by Texum Aggy. 1-0 in the best conference in the universe. Everything to play for. Beat a QB that may be a first round draft pick in a couple of years. Whoop!- Jimbo 2021: Meemaw's Got a Brand New Bag
I love ... LOVE ... how they're rationalizing this as a "Sumlin recruit." Because Jimbo has recruited a band of brothers, or something.- Jimbo 2021: Meemaw's Got a Brand New Bag

The kid can ball.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
Feel free to cite some data or a study to back up this claim that the virus is "weakening." The most widely held theory about this is that since more young people are getting infected, the overall death rate is lower. It is theoretically possible the virus could mutate to become more easily transmissible, and less lethal, but I have seen no concrete evidence this is occurring.- Grad Transfer WR Brenden Schooler
He ain't come to play schooler.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
UNC going remote is a huge deal.- Ewers or Bust- Lord have mercy I’m bout to bust

Sorry for bringing information on threats posed to CFB in 2020 in a thread about dangers to CFB in 2020. One would think we are all invested, to one degree or another, in college football since we're on Surly Horns.- College Football in 2020 in danger?

It's possible -- and hear me out on this one -- that scientists studying new diseases will learn things in the months following the discovery of the disease, and its impacts on growing numbers of patients. It's a problem for college football because we've seen, in other sports including MLB, this problem occur in otherwise healthy athletes. So while the vast majority of kids who get COVID-19 will be fine, there are growing concerns about its effect on the heart and potentially other organs in the human body.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
The Surly docs will be along soon to tell us this is nothing to worry about, I am sure.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
Eluded, eh?- College Football in 2020 in danger?
Ladies and gentlemen ... Clay Travis has just saved the season. Just kidding, this is just going to further politicize a difficult decision that's already been made. Yay, culture wars?- College Football in 2020 in danger?
This is a HOT take. Unfortunately what it misses is that those are all pro sports leagues. It's not about the NCAA and University AD's being inept, although there is a fair amount of that to be sure, it's about putting thousands of student-athletes in a risky situation for which they are not being compensated; not having the resources to test them; not having the power to compel them to live in a bubble; and not having the financial resources to deal with years a resulting liability due to COVID-19 complications, etc. And masks are a big deal. If the background reservoir of the virus were not so high, some of the risks mentioned above would be lower, and more tolerable.- College Football in 2020 in danger?
