  1. Yeah, that's a great combo. The 1.5 Sunbender is a tremendous sounding pedal. I just don't really play much music where it's the go-to. I'm an overdrive type.
  2. My son lives about half a block away, was walking home and witnessed the aftermath. Absolutely tragic when this happens, and it happens in West Campus too often. Reach out to your friends and loved ones regularly. Ask the tough questions if they don't seem like they're doing well. Offer a stranger a smile when you pass when you might ordinarily just keep going with your head down. My son knew the kid who jumped off the Castilian last year.

Either way, the rest of that flight is going to be a regrettable experience for all, whether they eat the Pecan Lodge bowl (or the fish) or nothing.

I can't imagine it's worse than any "airline" food I've had in the last 15 years.
  5. Which ones? Other than my modded Tube Screamers, the only A-Man pedal I still have is the Envelope Filter. The Prince of Tone was a great boost, but I didn't get along with it other than that. The Sunbender 1.5 and Astrotone were great fuzz pedals, but I don't really use fuzz all that much. As for knobs, my two exception pedals are my Pi Phase MK1 (#21) and my MuFX TruTron3 (although it technically has four knobs, it has a lot of switches too).
  6. Was not expecting to see the OG Doug Irwin "Tiger" for sale.
  7. Yeah, I imposed a 4-knob rule at some point. There are exceptions though. But what I know about myself is that the less I have to mess around with on the pedals, the less time I'll spend messing with it. Internal trim pots are an absolute no-go for me anymore, and I think I've sold off everything with internal controls but the Teese RMC3, which is the perfect example of why I don't want internal controls.

Same as this one. Click to zoom.
  9. We have an LG with a steam oven feature. I'd agree it's not an end-all. But as someone who won't use an oven's self-clean feature because I don't like replacing circuit boards, the steam-clean feature is a good way to get that process started.
  10. Some more cooking action. Hand cut fries in grapeseed oil and beef tallow.
  11. I have been doing hand-cut fries a bit lately, and the Lodge has really taken on a nice color.
  12. Fred Wesley toured with James and probably George. I'd be surprised if he even sat in with Prince on tour. He was awesome though. So was the trumpet player that replaced him in Maceo's band. Oh, and make that 5 times I saw him (other than with Prince). I also saw him at the Orpheum in Boston, along with shows at both 90s Antone's locations and two at the Satellite Lounge in Houston.
