  1. That's the damned truth. I felt lucky to get to see Maceo four times between college and early law school. Last time was at Antone's April or May 1997. And in the middle of the show, the power goes out. So Maceo casually makes his way off stage with Sweets walking around him keeping the beat on a cowbell. And all of a sudden, he walks right up to me and my group and starts really getting it with the sax. And we're just dancing like crazy. And he moves on, ends up back on stage and the power comes back. Never missed a beat.
  2. My younger son turned 17 and asked for steak on a Wednesday. So this is my father of the year so far trophy
  3. I guess this is the Prince thread. My wife and I caught the Musicology Tour in Bossier City that year (2004). In addition to a world-beater performance, we also were treated to Maceo Parker on sax. This is the L.A. show from the tour, and it's worth a watch if you have a couple of hours.
  4. Former council member; apparently she lost re-election last November. Pity.
  5. She seems like a real piece of work. Sentinel ColoradoWho’s afraid of Danielle Jurinsky? - Sentinel ColoradoThree conservative council members are mum about threatening and profane texts the city lawmaker sent them

Least they could do is release some represses of more studio albums. Glad I never counted on that and got my Ween vinyl when I did.
  7. Looks good. Get to cookin' in it.
  8. Okay
  9. Doing some pork steaks on the WSM direct heat So far:
  10. The Fender Pure Vintage 64 pickups I have in my 64 AV really do that chime thing, moreso than the 51 Nocaster pickups I put in my 52 AV (more grind in the bridge with a subdued neck pickup) in place of the "twisted tele" pickups. I found the neck pickup on those TT pickups too Stratty. Whatever Fender was doing in the late 80s/early 1990 still are my favorite tele pickups ever.
  11. Now I want to know what Spanish words he was teaching her.
  12. The Reuben Fries at Frank were special. Waffle fries IIRC.
  13. Occasionally, when I click the notification icon, I get a 404-style error page. It's been happening more lately (mostly in Chrome)

How did I miss this. This is the best thing I've come across in a bit.
  15. Well, they're fantastic as far as something made this century goes. So there's that.
  16. I haven't watched this in a while, but I think the answer is that they are really nice and well-made and cook everything just so. But if you don't want to spend the money, you're just fine with a modern Lodge (or a vintage one).
  17. I have the best pickups (Gibson '59 Tributes). Good luck finding them. I think they only were in the 2014 and early 2015 LP-Traditionals. But what fantastic pickups. I take it back. Here you go https://reverb.com/item/93638434-gibson-tribute-59-pickup-set?utm_campaign=US-Shop_unpaid&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google Seriously though, check out the mojotone 59 Clones
  18. For the wiring harness, this guy is great. Hand made and quick. JONESYBLUES.COMJONESYBLUES.COMHand wound pickups & guitar wiring looms built in USAFor pickups, disregarding everything you just said, the nickle covered PAF style pickups I got from mojotone for my SG faded sound absolutely fantastic, especially when you compare the prices to other brands out there. MojotoneMojotone '59 Clone Vintage P.A.F. style Humbucker Pickup...if you want to get as close as possible to vintage Gibson humbucker tone, the ’59 PAF Clones are a great way to go. -Guitar Player Magazine, May 2014 These '59 Patent Applied For Clones are for theThey have a "hot" and "modern" version of it as well.
  19. Well Mister-O sold and is on the way to the new owner. So I took the spoils and "invested" them into another phaser. This one is based on the Maestro MP-1, which I used to own and only sold because it was the most unfriendly pedalboard footprint in history, sucked a bit of tone, and definitely tried to electrocute me a few times. But it sounded glorious, and I've been searching for a compact recreation of it since the minute I sold it. Today was the day!
