2021 Texas Offseason: Sark Attacks Austin
Haha props to you on coming up with the punishment - pretty hilarious. I think why it might be tough to push much of spring ball into May is likely due to academic commitments. I was talking to someone who works in UT administration and mentioned your theory. Apparently spring ball has to be one consecutive month. If you take the logic that a May 1 spring game wouldn’t matter because most players would know where they stand before the game, then you probably need 1-2 weeks in May to give kids some uncertainty on deciding to transfer. The problem is that Spring semester exams are usually the second/third week of May (ex. UT’s this year started May 12). The academic administration wants student athletes to have at least one week to prepare for exams/have a dead period. If that’s the case, May 1 is literally the last Saturday you could have the Spring Game (this year). If May 7 lined up perfectly on a Saturday one year, then it’s unfortunately likely that May 11 would be the beginning of exams. This makes spring ball impossible to squeeze into May.

He’s from St. Louis 👀 Maybe he would help with Coleman

2021 NFL DRAFT
While I agree Book is not good throwing deep, Brees was a phenomenal deep passer when he was younger.

Do we have any idea as to who WR X might be?

Gaoteote was rumored to be interested in Ohio State for some time. I don’t know if the Tennessee linebacker going there would change his mind.

Class of 2022 QB Talk
If Card really lights it up then Ewers’ freshman year will likely be the year Card goes to the draft. So he’d only sit behind him for a year. Real bear case here is that Card wins the job but is good enough to keep the job, not great enough to get drafted. Then it would come down to Sark having to make a decision to let Ewers take over. I’d say this is unlikely though given how Card looked in the spring game. Kid made some real NFL throws and has the arm strength for some tricker throws across the body/throwing people open. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see him with the first team after he settled down a bit.

“He has A&M, LSU, USC and Florida,” his uncle Alvin Walton started in. “He talks to Oregon too and Texas has come into the fold too. That’s the six he’s talking to almost every day. there’s always an uncle

Gotta agree here - I work at a hedge fund in NYC and of my 15 person analyst class, only two of us had finance degrees. Everyone else learned finance on the job. I actually use my math degree a lot more than anything I learned in McCombs.

Transfer LB Ben Davis
Man, if we get Gaoteote, our front 6 is about to be freaky. Imagine a starting lineup of Ben Davis, Keondre Coburn, Alfred Collins, Ray Thornton, Palaie Gaoteote and Demarvion Overshown. Athleticism for days! And in Coach K’s scheme, these plug and play hybrid guys are gonna be scary because you don’t really know who might be rushing, dropping into coverage, covering the box etc.

Tbh Casey could have thrown that late, he just should have thrown over Whittington’s shoulder instead of right at Jamison’s face

It actually is Prima Donna. It relates to the best ballerina in a ballet or performer in an opera. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/prima donna The use of “Pre-Madonna” comes from rappers using it as a play on words.

What? How did you get into UT? radius is the distance from the center of a circle (in this case the player) and the edge (theoretically the furthest distance they could make a catch from where they’re located). Diameter would be distance across the circle which makes no sense given you can’t be in two places at once

Man this would be sick but given the issues he’s had in the past I don’t know if he’s a take/if he’d get cleared.

Ah, I missed Casey’s feature post from Feb 4 - good catch. Just saw Hudson’s from a few days ago and thought the player comments hyping him up on it we’re interesting but was probably reading too much into it.

Why would it be a weird thing to care about? Would generally think that if the staff was favoring someone as QB1 they would get promoted more on social media. Seems like a weird comment to make.

Is it just me or is Hudson getting way more air time on the promotional materials than Casey?
