List of BMF Texans
My great-great-great grandpa was Ed Burleson who fought alongside your old Jim Galbreath. From wiki: Known as the "Old Indian Fighter", Burleson was a veteran of the War of 1812 and had served in the Missouri and Texas militias. In October 1835 he was appointed a lieutenant colonel in the Texas army and served under Stephen F. Austin in the opening stages of the Texas Revolution. During the Siege of Béxar, Burleson served as the second-in-command to Gen. Austin, and in November, 1835 he was elected Major General of Texas Volunteers and took command of the volunteer army besieging San Antonio de Béxar and received the surrender of Mexican general Martín Perfecto de Cos. In March, he was appointed a Colonel of Texas Regulars and led the First Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Runaway Scrape and at the Battle of San Jacinto. Edward was the son of James B. Burleson, a company captain in the volunteer American army in the War of 1812 and later a participant in the Texas Revolution, as a Captain under his son's command. Edward learned of life in the field as an aide to his father, who could neither read nor write. Aaron Burleson, his grandfather, had fought as a minuteman in the Revolutionary War. https://tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/fbu40

Chinga taLupas Essays.. all this talk of Mexico has me thirsty for putaQuervo and good times my friends.- Buying a Car
The last car I bought was a new Jeep Grand Cherokee for 1% over invoice. I did my homework on the internet and knew the options/packages and the dealer invoice amount. They got their holdback + 1%. Deal was made within a few minutes once they knew I was going to buy a car off of the lot that day and had approved financing in hand. The post sales bullshit still took several hours but the main deal was done under 10 minutes.- Anyone own a bed jet?
My wife uses on of these bed fan things and she seems to like it. $125 or so on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Bed-Fan-with-Wireless-Remote/dp/B00L3EY29C/ref=pd_cp_201_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00L3EY29C&pd_rd_r=N0V3JR58NJWXGCAN5P4J&pd_rd_w=DJqHo&pd_rd_wg=X7eAd&psc=1&refRID=N0V3JR58NJWXGCAN5P4J- I need a new refrigerator
I like our Samsung when it works. We've spent as much as we originally paid for it over the course of 3 repairs. I asked the last repair tech if we should just go ahead and buy a new one and he said that everything that could go wrong with it has been replaced so we should be good for a few more years. Don't get a Samsung.- Sous Vide Recipes and Shit

csb/ I have a friend who grew up really poor in Paris, Tx. His mom worked at the Catfish King. I was having dinner with him in Austin several years back and he ordered something that came with a side dish of tartar sauce. He told me that it was as good as the pea salad that his mom made for him when he was growing up. You should have seen the look on his face when I told him that he was eating tartar sauce and not pea salad. Apparently, his mom had been stealing tubs of tartar sauce from the Catfish King and telling him that it was pea salad.- Hot Deals Thread
Amazon Treasure Truck: Ring Spotlight Cam Battery HD Security Camera with Built Two-Way Talk and a Siren Alarm, White, Works with Alexa 30% off Reg $199 - today $139 + tax- Maui
2nd... but you can also buy it in da shops, da gas stations, every da place. And it's da-licious. It's a Hawaiian blue collar worker lunch snack from what I understand.- Maui
As someone above said, if you do the road to Hana consider continuing the entire loop. They make a great burger at the Ulupalakua Ranch store and the Maui Wine Vineyards are nearby. We rented a mustang convertible and the drive on the southern portion of the island was like driving on a go-cart track. The landscape reminded me of Whales with the lush green grasses and stone walls. It was awesome. We stayed at The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort and the snorkeling right from the resort beach was unbelievable. If that's the case where you are staying you might consider packing your own facemasks so you don't have to fool with the rentals. Maui really surprised me. It was one of the best vacations we've taken. It had everything. Have fun!- What is my name?
I use LastPass but concerned that getting hacked on that will be losing the keys to the kingdom. Take advantage of two stage authentication whenever available.- School walkouts, in general
I told my son to always take the first punch.- Grackles stealing my dog food.
We had to start feeding our dog inside because of the grackles. Once we started doing that they moved along. They haven't been in our trees for a few years and they used to camp there.- SWA seems to be having a rough go of it lately
