  1. No mention of Powell’s yet? Bunch of illiterates on here.
  2. Here are the books they put out: 1. Beyond the Tailgate: How Tailgating Brings and Keeps Friends and Families Together by Jim and Cheryl Flint '94 (Yes, they have the '94 on the book cover.) Here's the Amazon description: "Jim and Cheryl Flint '94 tailgate in Texas where everything is bigger. As passionate football fans, they love planning and participating in tailgating. With more than a decades worth of active tailgating experience in College Station the couple shares their stories and experiences in the pages of Beyond the Tailgate." Jesus. 2. Some 12th man BS called No Experience Required. 3. Reveille: First Lady of Texas A&M 4. Recognize a Sparkling Spirit which I assume is about how great a student body they have. No wonder they have to buy players. Milk men looking down on you while you sleep and fourth-rate books on the weirdness that is aggy (and they are all written for the 60 year-old white alum)? What a freak show.
  3. Looks a little like Kevin Porter, Jr.
  4. OK, once again: 1. I can't do it. Or maybe I don't know how. 2. Thread was started under the old norm--I could not anticipate the current trend. That said, I kind of like the clean look but... 3. If I could, I would change it to "This Looks Like My Team"
  5. Who was the OT with a higher recruiting ranking?
  6. Grambling seems out of place there though.
  7. That's pretty special, but I saw Robert Parish play when he was at Centenary.
  8. Mom wants nice BYU girls who make LDS grandkids.
  9. I think he's talking portal and only portal.
  10. Sark knows that a good beach volleyball team helps with football recruiting. 3D chess going on here. Sark should really lobby for a women's gymnastics team too.
  11. Not only has Connor trained at every other OL position, he is probably one of the few who can make the right line calls consistently.
  12. Kirkland thinks highly of Murphy. It'll be interesting watching him if Ewers gets injured.
  13. And one comes with taxes and one without, though that may be a problem for some.
  14. Or maybe he realizes ex-head coach Choate is likely to get offers after this year and wants to shoot for immediate continuity at the LB spot if that happens.
  15. I'm good on the Chryst thing. From an Athletic article, it seems he was recruiting with a pre-social media mindset, never adjusted as things changed, and then got fired for it. Dude's only 57. He could be coming here to re-learn the business part of being a head coach. Regardless, it's always good to have smart football minds around.
  16. I don't have a dog in this fight but it is an excuse to post my favorite Faulkner photo. Here's Hemingway too.
  17. So will O-line recruits.
  18. Even more smoke around the Twitterverse that Bijan goes 8, 9, or 10.
  19. So I've learned that the current coaching will improve Jeffcoat's draft standing more than previous staffs. Is that right? If so, good news for Jeffcoat.
  20. And his high school stats were pedestrian.
  21. This is the one of the few good things about being an Oilers fan--you can root for every Longhorn in the NFL regardless of what team they play for (though I thoroughly dislike the Titans and don't care for the Texans, I have no favorite).
