  1. They’re wrong. The rule changes there have permitted pushing since, I think, 2013, and about a decade longer in the NFL, but what occurred on that play is illegal at every level of football. It’s in black and white in the current NCAA rule book. Now whether it ever gets called or not is another matter. And if that one didn’t, it never will be again, so they might as well just change the rule.
  2. Lol. The rule forbids grasping, pulling, or lifting. That German suplex he pulled involved all 3. It’s about as indisputable as possible.
  3. If it’s a bit, he’s committed to it across multiple sports for multiple years. Draw your own conclusions.
  4. The guy on the other side also had a play that would have induced apoplexy in some posters if Ewers did it.
  5. You’re conflating what people think about him with what they think about you.
  6. Can you imagine this thread if Ewers threw 11 interceptions in 5 games like Beck did?
  7. There were posters singing Kevin Jennings’ praises just a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if anyone would have rather had him playing than Ewers today?
  8. But why? I find it hard to believe someone could watch the first 2 games and say, “You know what this tournament is really missing is MORE also-rans.”
  9. Nah. You’re trying to argue that 3 loss mediocrities are “deserving.” That means there’s too many.
  10. If anything, what we’re seeing is that 12 is too many.
  11. Matt Cassel. His downfall is that he’s a terrible GM, not coaching. This I agree with.
  12. “He never makes a contested throws. Well, except all of those I’m going to arbitrarily rule out based on standards known only to me.” That would have been more accurate.
  13. That’s a very generous definition of a “gadget play.” And by generous, I mean asinine.
  14. I know that this is referencing AP, but Tech 08 was #5 in the coaches poll/#6 AP. That was as brutal a schedule that year as anything in the SEC. #1 OU, #11 Mizzou, #7 OSU, #6 Tech in consecutive weeks.
  15. You mean the guy starting the season on the IL?
  16. FYI, I posted the Kidd article they are quoting there early in the thread too.
  17. I also had trouble processing those two posts back to back.
