I had literal chills when I walked into the stands and got the full glimpse of the scene. And it wasn't because of the temperature.
Only two places have done that to me before, Wrigley and the Rose Bowl.
I'm struck by the fact that Sark's scheme shouldn't have been much of a surprise to Michigan or to fans who pay attention, yet Michigan had no answer.
We have the Jimmies and Joes AND the X's and O's
Additionally, Quinn casually burning a couple of throws on early downs because it wasn't there was a sign of Texas' supreme confidence in the game plan. On the road in front of 111k and we're like, fuck it we'll pick this up on 2nd or 3rd. He didn't press at all.
I had to break my self imposed ban on wagering any game involving Mike Gundy. I couldn't pass up Ok State -7.5 against Arkansas this weekend, even with the hook.
This line feels way too high. First game, with Michigan on deck. And CSU has some decent pieces on offense. Late score for Texas.
Horns 43
Rams 24
WR total yards - 337
I always love week 0 and 1 because I am super pumped for games like SMU at Nevada even though I wouldn't give a fuck about that game if it was played in week 5.
Snell was ridiculously dominant last weekend against Colorado. While impressive, I chalked it up to the Rockies being the Rockies.
He's on a fucking heater.
Market Street was the worst I have ever seen it this weekend but everything else seemed fine. I didn't make it over to the Wharf but I had breakfast near Union Square and the bums seemed a lot less prevalent over there compared to previous trips.
Didn't make it to any bars after the game. Six hours of Pliny and Sierra Nevada will do that to you. But it was a great weekend as always.
And the weather was ok. When I walked into Oracle it felt like it was going to get fucking COLD by game 2 but never really did. Or maybe it did and I got drunk and didn't notice.
Great post. If I am not wiped post game I will try to check some of those off.
I go to Toronado every time I visit. Had my first two beers there today. Go Giants!
