Texas Softball 2024 - Farewell to the Big 12 (and back to OKC?)
Leaving Stanford and passing up that degree is a really dumb decision.

We were missing a piece in the IF. That missing piece just walked it off in Omaha.

I guess Coach White's "Sasha Fierce" strategy didn't work.

Yes it is. Well coached teams execute. Making errors is on players. Stuff like that is coaching. We've left several runs on the bases tonight. No runner for Atwood and we didn't score...coaching Didn't score on that double in the gap...baserunning error...coaching. That bullshit from Scott...coaching. Henry's brain fart in CF...coaching. Starting Kavan in Game 1...coaching.

Texas Softball 2024 - Farewell to the Big 12 (and back to OKC?)
The most poorly coached team I have ever seen in any sport.

Well, let's see...how do you handle a pitcher who's killing you with changeups? You sit changeup and look to either fight off fastballs or go opposite field with them. But nah, let's just continue to flail away.

They can score from first on a double in the gap without even a throw to the plate, but we can't even make it competitive. AND they're bigger. How does that happen?

It's over. You can feel it.

Grasso's facelift is maybe just a smidge too tight.

Unbelievable that we're this poorly coached up.

I looked it up. A courtesy runner is different than a pinch runner. A coach can substitute a courtesy runner at any time for a pitcher or catcher whenever those two players reach base. The pitcher or catcher can re-enter the game without any penalty, and the coach can substitute the courtesy runner back in for a pitcher or catcher as many times as necessary. The only exception is that the same courtesy runner can’t be used for both a catcher and a pitcher.

Right there. Anyone but Reese scores on that passed ball.

Texas Softball 2024 - Farewell to the Big 12 (and back to OKC?)
I thought I read in the rules a courtesy runner for the catcher isn't limited. Limited to 2 per game for anyone else. Could be wrong and I'm not looking it up again.

Can't you courtesy run for the Catcher? Why is Reese's slow ass on the base paths?

Texas Softball 2024 - Farewell to the Big 12 (and back to OKC?)
They said "she can't leave the ball up like that", but the bottom of the strike zone is above the knee. Impossible to throw a strike that isn't meat.

Extra step on that slide almost cost Reese. Mercy.

After Coach White gets us in a bind in Game 2, maybe he could throw us a bone and put in the hot pitcher so we can at least eyeball the goods.

Good enough to get there, not good enough to win. It's become our brand.
