Texas vs k-state - 11am on Fox
We could get a TO here and win and I'll still be pissed off all afternoon.

It's so predictable. It just is.

Sark: Brilliant! We won't let them use their TOs!

Still plenty of time for a 3-and-out with K-State burning their TOs, a great punt, followed by prevent defense giving up 20 yards per play, and a last second tying FG.

Yep. No need to review this and even if they do, it should take 10 seconds at best. Free time out there for K-State.

How is that Unnecessary Roughness? They hit Murphy 3-4 steps after he threw that pick and they didn't do shit. Howard was tightroping the sideline for a 1st Down there.

Looks like our defense. Bendy.

They hit MM long after the throw was made. Like 2-3 steps.

Who cares about CFP rankings? Who cares about polls? Who cares what any other team not named Texas is doing? Just win. And then win next week. And the week after. And the week after that. Handle OUR business and we're in.

Howard never controlled that ball on the ground. If the refs give KSU the ball, it's a 100% screw job.

Yep, on 4th and 1, he needs to hold the block on the 1st man longer to ensure the 1-yd gain. Blocking seems to be his kryptonite and that could hurt his NFL prospects. TEs have to block; not every team will use the TE like a Kelce/Kittle.

Worthy competes in traffic. Mitchell will make an effort, but only if it's uncontested. He could learn a lot from X.

The Preseason Polls are F'n Stupid, But Here We Are Thread
If we scored on 1st and Goal from the 1 yard line against OU, we wouldn't be needing a bunch of teams to lose. Always, always, ALWAYS handle your own business and never leave it in the hands of external forces. We failed to do that and here we are.

Texas opens as a 20.5 point favorite v BYU
That's a generous line. But, perhaps Ewers' absence will force us to run the ball more. I could see Baxter and Brooks feasting, even if BYU knows it's coming. Murphy is good enough they can't totally sell out on the run, but Sark will probably keep the play-calling "less exotic" - which could work in our favor.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Peyton and Eli are obviously athletic enough to be big time QBs, but they aren't otherworldly. What they are is phenomenal football quarterbacks, and that comes from the mental side, understanding the game to an insanely deep level, etc. Cooper Manning, Arch's dad, was the best athlete of the 3 - so Arch isn't lacking the genetics. And with Archie for a grandfather, and Peyton and Eli for uncles, you can damn sure bet he knows how to play QB. I have some ties to people in LA who really know football and they said his last name adds a star, so I'm not suggesting he's Football Jesus - but you can bet he won't suck.

Texas vs houston - 3:00pm on Fox
Well ... I did say I'm not dogging Ewers in the slightest. He has one of the best arms in the game. He throws one of the most catchable balls out there; it's Joe Burrow-esque. His arm talent alone is what makes him a 9/10 QB. What's keeping him from being a 10/10 Heisman shoe-in is his inability to process information quickly enough. If he could, he'd be throwing to wide open WRs too.

Ewers has a golden arm, but he's not intelligent enough to make the most of a Sark offense. He cannot process information quickly enough, plain and simple. He can hit the guy the play was schemed for, and if that guy isn't open, he can check down. But he has no idea who's going to be open based on a pre-snap read or reading the defense at the snap. He takes the snap, checks the primary and then checks down. Teams have begun to scheme the defense to take away his initial read and it shows. His success is coming from having some absolute weapons at WR and a great arm. Mac Jones could maximize a Sark offense, which is why it seemed like he was always throwing to a wide open WR vs. having to force throws into tight coverage.
