THE College Football Playoff Rankings Thread [MICH,WASH,TEX,ALA]
Says we only beat Alabama because Milroe was raw (and now he's all-world). "If Texas had to go to Tuscaloosa today, they'd get thrashed." Hell, that pisses me off and I'm just an alumnus/fan. If I actually played on the team, I'd want to skull drag every player that lined up in front of me tomorrow. They should mainline this shit into their veins between now and the CFP game(s).

Tell Me About Texas a&m
"It wasn’t taken well. Maybe I didn’t articulate it well. I’ll own that! BUT the things thrown in my direction from my own school’s fanbase (albeit the loud minority) has been truly wild." Translation: "I screwed up, but I'm still the victim here."

Wives and the Stupid Shit They Say/Do
Maybe they're in a declining price environment, so they manage inventory costs by purchasing fuel only when needed instead of stockpiling (keeping the tank full) like you would when prices are increasing? Maybe they're simply being smart with money. Who am I kidding?

Tell Me About Texas a&m
The best part was when she gave the "It's like Oklahoma and Oklahoma State" analogy. Everyone was like "Yes! Exactly!", and she immediately knew she fucked up. "I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you guys. You're wrong. You just are."

Tell Me About Texas a&m
Harvard is around $49b, we're at $42.6b, and Yale is slightly behind at $40b-$41b. We surpass Harvard's on occasion when the price of oil surges. A good chunk of our money comes from oil and gas development on land set aside by the State for us - which is hilarious given the political bent of many administrators, etc.

If by "right there with Texas", she means Texas has nearly 2.5x the money, then sure. But yeah, A&M ain't broke. Somebody with Twitter should point this out to that goofy chick.

Nobody said anything about candy. In fact, I love that we wear simple, clean uniforms and don't trot out a bunch of bullshit like Oregon and the like. I like the whites and I love the way our burnt orange pops on white. A stripe is just a touch more of it, that's all. Like the baseball uniforms - our home whites are the best uni in the game.

Yep. Not to flash it up or anything, just to add a touch more of that beautiful burnt orange to the clean whites. But I am glad we don't have gimmicky uniforms like Oregon and some others. "We're here to play f'n football."

I think we look better in whites than in the burnt orange jerseys. If we added a burnt orange stripe(s) to the pants, they'd look even better (no need with the orange jerseys though).

If they were looking to avoid criticism, "We put in the 3 undefeated P5 conference champs and then the 1-loss P5 conference champ that beat the other 1-loss P5 conference champ by multiple scores, on the road, by running the ball for 7:00 straight and ending the game in victory formation on their opponent's field" would have done the trick. Alabama/SEC would have whined because "We're the SEC and we're Alabama", but nobody else would have batted an eye. Except ESPN...which is why they fucked FSU.

2023 Heisman
I was obviously being facetious; I think Daniels is, by far, the most deserving of the Heisman. I think the same kind of bullshit that kept Oregon ranked so high will keep Nix/Penix in the picture despite their numbers not being close to Daniels'. Same thing with the Biletnikoff. Malik Nabers (LSU) has numbers WAY beyond Odunze or Harrison Jr., but the talking heads keep acting like it's Harrison. It's not close either. Odunze is a distant 2nd and the gap between 2-3 is greater than between 1-2.

Committee: "Florida State is no good without Jordan Travis." Also the Committee: "Florida State without Jordan Travis is better than 29-game win streak, 2 x defending National Champion Georgia." (FSU #5, UGA #6)

2023 Heisman
Jordan Travis is apparently the best/most important player in college football. Gotta be him, right?

As if being a pretentious, smell-your-own-farts, know-it-all douchebag isn't enough, now you're making sure you're not deprived of internet message board recognition for it? My god, man. The real world probably eats you alive.

Texas opens as a 5 point favorite v Washington in the CFP Sugar Bowl
Yep. If we can get past Washington, I like how we match up against Michigan or Alabama/McCarthy or Milroe. I'm wondering if the way we can contain Washington's passing attack is by doing what inferior teams have done to us ... 3 safeties across the top. Our run defense is stout enough we should be able to dedicate a 3rd dude across the top without losing all that much.

Correct. We have Michigan, Ohio St. Ohio St. Michigan over the next 4 years. Before the SEC move, we had Georgia, Georgia, Florida, Florida on deck after that. You can't know whether Florida will suck or be world beaters 6-7 years from now. Clemson, LSU, Florida were all on FSU's schedule years ago. FSU got fucked in this one, no question.

Same reason Sark insists on that fauxhawk...a mistaken belief that it looks good.

I don't like how our secondary matches up against Penix, Odunze, and the other WRs. I'm all in, LFG, and all that...but I wouldn't make a big bet on that line.

THE College Football Playoff Rankings Thread [MICH,WASH,TEX,ALA]
Just here to say some of us tried to tell some of you the SEC was never going to be left out. Lots of "dumb fucks" and "stupid takes" that turned out to be not so dumb or stupid. Y'all were looking at it in a rational/logical sense (which I wholly agree with, BTW), failing to realize not only is this shit subjective but also all about $$$/power/influence. We're lucky the Committee fucked over Florida State and not us. The "right thing" was never going to happen.

Whichever seed gets us Michigan instead of Washington is fine with me.
-
THE College Football Playoff Rankings Thread [MICH,WASH,TEX,ALA]
I'll take that all day. We match up well against Michigan whereas Washington's passing game would be tough for our secondary to contain. Next year's Texas @ Michigan would be a badass rematch too.
