Shay Holle is a dime. Best legs in college basketball.
She isn't the flashiest player, but she does a ton of little things that don't get enough credit.
He looked good on the mound. Had some fire and a little swagger.
He must be pitching awfully tight when he's started or come in early.
That situation was exactly what he needed.
Yeah, I'm just humorously cynical about our bats going cold just in time for LSU. JT and PP will probably go 0-fer while O'Dowd goes 4-4 with 4 2-out nobody on singles.
Gaspy's got a pretty good eye and lays off that outside breaking ball that always looks so tasty.
Inside heat still gets by him, but as he continues to tighten up that swing, he's going to be unreal.
He's got long arms to begin with and the outer half of the plate allows him to get away with the longish swing. For an opposing pitcher to throw him anything on the outside half is malpractice.
Crazy how our catcher gets a fastball on his glove side but can't come close to throwing out the runner while their guy didn't even know the runner was going and still damn near threw out our guy.
That FB Flores took yard was the same pitch as the 1-0 fastball he took. Thank goodness the catcher gave him another shot at it. Worked out in our favor on that one.
The old "take until he throws you a strike" meant he watched belt high cheese and got stuck having to chase what the pitcher threw him. I get the mindset on taking, but you've gotta be aggressive early IMO.
Our saving grace in this game is the SJ pitcher throwing straight darts and we're hitting him hard, just right at people.
He has no movement at all on his fastball and we're going to score some runs unless SJ's coach gets smart and pulls him first.
We just need to hold SJ to about 5 or 6 and I think we'll be okay.
Harrison comes running in from the bullpen, talking shit to himself like he's got Tourette's, gets teed off on his first pitch, then throws one over the catcher's head.
Maybe he needs to chill the F out a little bit.
O'Dowd is coming off it, trying to play hero ball.
Gasparino's swing looked nice and compact there. Inside out, drove it opposite field. He keeps that up, he's gonna be dangerous.
