  1. 🎯🎯🎯 This conference is going to cost me way more money, that's for damn sure. Only SBC away game I travelled to was Louisiana, although I do regret not going to Appalachia State. There's a good chance I'll hit 3 of those aways this year alone, and if the snow is right, probably turn that CSU game into a ski trip too. Only been to 5 OOS aways so far: Arizona State, Louisiana, Colorado, Florida State, Tulsa
  2. Loving the aways. I’m in for San Diego immediately and probably Boise too. AD told the basketball crowd the flex game will likely be @ Colorado State.
  3. Not sure where the most appropriate place to ask this is, but hopefully someone can help out. What are the official sections for visitors at DKR? I feel like 31/32 is where I've always seen the most visitors, but would appreciate some verification on that.
  4. I'm sure some of you still have Terrapin PTSD from the Herman era, but as an outsider with a bit of perspective, I can assure you that Maryland is indeed a bottom of the barrel program.
  5. The TXST Portal haul: 18 Total - 11 Def, 5 Off, 1 ST, 1 ATH QB - 1 WR - 1 OL - 3 DL - 6 LB - 2 DB - 3 ATH - 1 3 - FCS 6 - G5 9 - P4 8 are from Texas High Schools
  6. Lockette isn't coming to Texas, and not because Lockette doesn't want to come to Texas. He's not Texas good, and the $9.95ers are throwing shit at a wall. His visits so far: Rutgers and South Carolina. I would bet anything against him landing at a school that finished in the top half of a P4 conference.
  7. 7 schools, 6 teams 2020 - LSU (Covid year, doesn't count against eligibility). Started 5 games, kinda sucked. 2021 - Auburn. 0-3 as a starter w/ Bo Nix out. 2022 - Auburn. 2-0 vs Mercer and San Jose State w/ multiple INT and less than stellar numbers. Knee injury sidelines the rest of the year. Redshirt. 2023 - Texas State. Finley finds his level and crushes it in San Marcos. 24TD/8INT and 3400+yds, but looks like he runs in cement and Kinne wants a mobile QB. 2024 - Western Kentucky. Season ending injury in Wk3. Medical Redshirt. 2025 - Tulane. Has legal issues in the spring semester, leaves immediately. 2025 - Georgia State. Very meh. Split time, 6TD/7INT. 2026 - UIW. I'd bet anything he isn't the starter for most games there. Dude just has no mobility and turns the ball over (he's a fumbler too).

Hope to be at the game here in the next couple of years. Good friend's kid is a WR for Johns Hopkins, who lost to UWRF in the F4. Would be awesome if they can win a title while he's there.
  9. Very cool. Mathis was my era. Good friends with several of his teammates. His QB and Center were fraternity brothers of mine.
  10. Parachute guy hopped up fine after a minute to collect himself. I was right there when it happened - scary shit.
  11. For all you closet Bobcats (and there are dozens of you on here), here's a look at our new end zone complex. Take the host with a grain of salt - he's just hyping his buddy's program. We're all aware the facilities don't compare to Texas or LSU or Ohio State...but they're damn good for G5.

Flag themed Bobcats script for the Armed Forces Bowl. Gold-Maroon-Gold is our best look by far. Really wish we would wear this 4x/yr at home instead of 6 different combos. /oldmancloud

Traylor is fighting the good fight, but the lack of support from that city/fan base is brutal. 8,671 announced.
  14. Probably should coffee up before posting first thing, because I missed these two announcements, which are just as big as the Jackson news. Would hope this helps us go after some D players in the portal, with the promise of a strong O coming back.
  15. Excellent news: By way of comparison to the Sun Belt Player of the Year:
  16. For reference: Scoring Offense: 36.1ppg, 17th in FBS Scoring Defense: 30.6ppg, 111th in FBS We lost 4 1 score games this year and scored 30, 37, 39, 41 in those games.
  17. Pulled in our best class ever yesterday. Not bad for a program that was an early adopter of the transfer portal and took quite a lot of flack for not recruiting high school kids. Got our first 4* (247) and GJK says he'll be our Travis Hunter, playing both ways. Apparently he was a composite 4* up until recently and now is *just* under the mark. Regardless of stars, it's badass to have 3 Top 100 players in TX (63, 70, 83) when we've never landed even 1 prior. Relative to the new PAC:
  18. We were probably 1 or 2 solid backup players away from being in. Both setters were injured going into the season - one rolled her ankle and wasn't cleared until day of the 1st match and the other broke her hand the day before (will need surgery in the off-season), so we didn't get her back until conference play. Juggling the offense from a 5-1 w/ broken hand to 5-1 @ 60% on her ankle, to 6-2 when broken hand came back was a big adjustment. We were also thin on the back line going into the season w/ only 1 true little, and she got a concussion which kept her out for 5 matches so we had to put our starting OH at L, and we weren't deep enough at OH to make it work...plus, she's our best overall player, 6 rotations, excellent back row for an OH, but not a true L. Super frustrating, because the last month of the season with everyone healthy, that squad was BUZZING. 8-0 to close conference play and a 2-3 loss in the SBC tournament semis to Arkansas State, who swept JMU for the title, and we took both from JMU at their house the week before. Our OOC was strong af too: Stephen F Austin - won the Southland - Match 1 w/ our #2 setter at 60% on a busted ankle and hadn't practiced UTEP - 25-4, CUSA regular season champs Arizona State - won the B12 - lost in 5 w/ the 1st 2 sets going 25+ - we pull that out, we're in Tulsa - won the American - they swept us, and I'm still not sure how they dominated us so thoroughly at home UCLA - regional 8 seed Stanford - regional 2 seed We lose our top 5 scorers and our L, so it's a complete overhaul going into the PAC next year. Good luck to the Horns in the Tournament! I was able to make the Stanford match at Moody this year, and that 5th set was just ELECTRIC! Tough draw as y'all have noted, and I know expectations are always high for your team, but if you can make the Final 4 this year, that should be considered a MASSIVE win for this season given the youth movement.
