  1. Once SMU cut it to three, they immediately went down the field and scored two touchdowns to put the game away. It was similar to what we did to Wyoming when they played with us into the fourth quarter. After sleep-walking the first three quarters, we scored a few touchdowns to put the game away.
  2. Much of the overconfidence seems to be based on one bad quarter against Iowa State where they were likely sleep-walking and looking ahead to us. It's hard to get 18-year-olds amped up to play Iowa State. We have had the same issues in recent years with Iowa State. OU did win by 30 and was up by 20 at halftime, so it's not like it was a game that was in doubt for long. I think we all know that they won't be sleep-walking against us. Sark has said on several occasions that we are everyone' biggest game, and it couldn't be more true. The team should expect everyone's best shot each week, and nothing less.
  3. This one has a very weird feel to it, so I will say Horns 29, OU 20. I think we have 176 rushing yards.
  4. How many times have we seen an opponent look mediocre the week before they play us only for them to play lights out against us? Several games against TCU and Tech in recent history come to mind.
  5. Gabriel is likely the best quarterback we have faced this year, and they have a very capable receiving corps that can expose some of the flaws of our secondary. Also, they have literally nothing to lose in this game. Everyone will be picking us to win, taking all of the pressure off of OU in this game. The worst case-scenario for them is that they're 5-1 with a very winnable schedule the rest of the way. I have a feeling that they will throw the kitchen sink at us in this game, and I hope we are ready to match that level of intensity. I hope the team does not go out there expecting OU to roll over and die again. They have likely been preparing for this game since they got back home from the game on October 8, 2022.
