Johntay Cook dismissed from the football team.
Not a novel take, but hard to get too pressed when we have Wingo/Moore, maybe an outside shot at Golden, coming back and 3 top 100 freshmen coming in. Add in the fact that we've pulled AD Mitchell, Bond and Golden in the portal in recent years. We've got plenty of players qualified to receive Quinn's 2 yard dump offs this year, he's not really needed.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
If Quinn is walking on the field when we have a very capable backup, I'm giving him zero benefit of the doubt for injury.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Extremely funny that Quinn is just cashing massive NIL checks, sitting out games here and there, coming back and playing like shit and blissfully unaware that he’s cratering the mental health of some of Surly’s most vulnerable citizens.

Texas DB & LB Talk
He was pretty impressive. If we can patchwork an interior DL together again next year the defense should be nasty. Simmons/Burke on the edges, Hill/Lefau at LB, Muhammad/Black at CB and Williams (if healthy)/McDonald at safety would be about as much talent as we've ever seen.

Keep going guys, I think I’m three more pages away from figuring out if Quinn Ewers is good or bad.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Give Quinn the chance to come out of the gate hot this Saturday and if he looks like he did against OU/Georgia you bench him permanently. My main concern is that he's never really displayed consistency game to game or even within games, which speaks to a lack of focus, ability to process and/or mental fortitude. He's started around 30 games here and he's only had the offense humming for 4 quarters in a handful (OU '22 (lol), Bama '23, Michigan '24, there have been a few other but those come to mind). So many of our best offensive performances during his tenure were a result of our NFL running backs leading the way. I think Sark is probably taking the right approach, but we have five must win games ahead of us and teams don't have to respect our running game that much or our deep ball at all with Quinn out there. If he's not making the veteran plays by stepping up into the pocket, avoiding self sacks, getting through his reads, avoiding braindead interceptions, etc., he brings nothing to the table that Arch doesn't.

OU Recruiting 2025: Truck Balls and Broken Dreams
The thing that’s funny to me is all these dope programs are pining for the days where Bama/Georgia/OSU/Clemson repeatedly punked them. They were all fine being Saban’s whipping boys for a decade. Fuck all that.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
Shoutout to Velton Gardner. Came here for a degree and physical therapy.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
Yep. We should have a ton of success through the air in this game. I'd love to see Wingo more involved in this game as well, there should be a few big plays for the taking.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
Georgia's linebackers are at a different level athletically than both OU's and Michigan's and they have more speed in the two deep all over the field. That being said, I absolutely agree that we shouldn't struggle scoring. I'm not sure there's a team out there whose pass rush is effective enough to shut us down.

Game week thread, Week 6, Red River Shootout
There’s really not much to analyze in this matchup because we are so clearly better. There’s a chance that turnovers, injuries and ref fuckery happen and we lose, but the delta between our offenses is so great that it really shouldn’t be close. Reminds me so much of the Michigan game. I’m mostly curious to see if our OL can decisively win the battle again with a pretty damn good DL.

Week Six Preview: Bye, Bye, Bye
Ari Wasserman is a bloviating moron, who is also completely devoid of personality, and probably my least favorite national CFB voice. He read Bud Elliott's blue chip ratio and somehow managed to build an entire brand around the novel concept that the teams with all the best players usually win and then acts vindicated every year when Toledo doesn't win the national championship.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
Are we pursuing any of the top 2025 WRs other than the two Oregon commits? I haven't heard anything, but seems like Brown III's commitment to Florida could be vulnerable and would be a complementary body type/play style to our current commitments. Barring those guys, it seems like taking McCutcheon, who is a nice player in his own right and fits a need in the class, is the path of least resistance. They appear to love Kelshaun Johnson, but I imagine that is a situation where A&M would go jihad to make sure we don't take their only WR commit.

The Aggy rollercoaster is undefeated. Early season setback was early enough that they're all penciling in 9 wins minimum with the October "Furk!" right around the corner.

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
10 pages of how bad we would lose an imaginary matchup against 2022 Georgia, followed by a discussion of our incredible luck to play both the worst Michigan AND Georgia teams in decades, finished off with an imagining of how the result would have been different if everything that happened did not actually happen until they convince themselves that we essentially did lose.

Pretty simple. George Soros pays Disney, who pays ESPN, who pays the SEC, who pays the Marxist refs all to show that sissy liberals can win at football. Explains a lot about Cal's dominance the past decade really.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Hard to feel very concerned about this. Still Quinn’s job and he’s fucking awesome, but if Arch takes over the starting job that means he’s even more fucking awesome, which is great. I’m not sure I’d trade either of them for any other quarterback in college football.

It is so hilarious when these morons are like "Wait how can Wiggy be hurt when Liucci was just talking about how he was going for 550 yards and 7 TDs on the Loochador yesterday??" They are the biggest group of fucking marks on the planet, I'm surprised any of them have any money left to pay TexAgs since they're all probably financially supporting a dozen Nigerian princes.

Yeah, I was thinking Turner was the only player who would start for us, with Scourton the only other with a shot. The other players I listed are guys I think could get any meaningful snaps this year. Point being, they are so far from being a top ten most talented team that it's laughable.
