I noticed in The Athletic's transfer portal article they noted that, although Nolen and Jardin announced their intention to transfer, A&M has not entered either player in the portal. Do any of our portal experts know if this something that the schools can hold up unilaterally? It strikes me as extremely Aggie to refuse to do so in an attempt to strongarm players in to coming back.
Implicit in all their complaints about dealing with sip t-shirt fans is the fact that none of them run into Texas alumni at their insurance sales jobs in Conroe.
On top of that, he put the work in to become an elite special teams player and will likely earn a few NFL paychecks. Indicative of the culture Sark has built and pretty fitting he was basically the first guy Sark brought in.
Jeff Brohm will find a way to put up points on the board, that guy is a very good in game coach. If it really is a true freshman making his first start, I'm kind of surprised FSU is still the favorite although Vegas knows best.
This is an interesting departure from Jimbo's strategy. Could definitely see things working out for them if they get the best player in the country at every position.
The pick sixes were incomprehensible. Completely tanked any chance of beating Utah or Oregon St. He got absolutely killed by play calling and CK's years-long disregard of HS O-line recruiting, but showed next to nothing against P5 opponents. To the point where I don't really expect him to succeed at his next team.
Was there ever any insight as to what he did? Kind of impressed he's willing to stick it out/appears to be taking the right steps. It would be great to have him back, think he could be a real player with another year in the S&C program.
We had multiple chances to beat them last year and they had (i) a home game (ii) a more dangerous QB, (iii) weird weather conditions, (iv) 119-0 penalty yard advantage and (v) one of the most inexplicable, terrible QB performances from QE that you could imagine. It's going to take a Big XII ref magnum opus plus more for them to pull this off.
Will Notre Dame just be ignoring the game all offseason? Would think people will eventually learn that you can't pencil in wins for the aggies against capable opponents - especially ones that have any ability to pressure the QB.
He is not the caliber of quarterback that Ohio State goes after in my view. Not sure I've seen many guys who can be better described as a "system player." That said, he's not a bad quarterback.
"Woulda been undefeated in the BDF ya stupid sip" is absolute evergreen content from these freaks. I am actually excited to see what replaces it next year. Maybe just increased complaints about Sankey and the $EC refs favoring us, but I'm sure their aggie brains will come up with something hilarious.
Did Catalon take any snaps this week? I didn't notice him playing but haven't watched the TV replay yet. Certainly hope he gets more run in Ames, think he shores up a lot of our issues.
Means we comfortably handled Alabama in Tuscaloosa and largely took care of business against every other team with one slip up. Sure we'd like more style points but damn how can folks be this miserable about a team with a live chance of making the CFP.
Agree on that. Not a chance they're getting a Lanning/Deboer type. People around the UTSA program have always said Traylor only really wants Texas or A&M and I expect he'll be the coach. Would be hilariously Aggie if they hire Kingsbury.
