That would be for a spot that was potentially open due to Washington losing. That is now gone because Washington took that spot. One spot we could have gotten is 100 % closed. But you keep talking losing a beauty contest. We at least had a chance in that beauty contest. Now, absolutely no chance. There are other avenues, but that one is gone. I'm happy for you that you don't have to worry about that anymore though. That's the most important thing.
This right here is the most compelling argument I've seen that we wanted Oregon to win an ugly game. Anyone who has argued for Washington over Oregon needs to understand your are on the side with Helobious. But thanks also to DaHobbs and Huckleberry for their efforts as well. Unfortunately, my opinion of the intelligence of many people on this site had gone way down. Stating something is an absolute is not an absolute. 13-0 Washington 100% takes a playoff spot. Texas has no argument against that. There was a small chance and an argument to be made that Texas would get in over Oregon. Maybe 1% but that's a better chance than 0. The best thing about Washington winning is I don't have to hear any of these idiots say they were right, even though the argument for Oregon still gave them a 99% chance of getting in over Texas. I feel like I'm reading Texags with some of this dumb shit. Root for Alabama and mostly Louisville.
I'll post this here too. Minutes and Hours Watch show is this weekend. Free admission at the Ao5 At Gallery in the Arboretum. Nearly 40 brands. Should be a good show if you have some time to kill before the game or on Sunday. Hit the link for tickets. Mostly microbrands at this show but there are a few brands that are a little pricier like Crude and Treiber. Crude are actually pretty damn cool and unique. Treiber will have a prototype of their new release based on the 300SL Gullwing. Having seen the first watch based on the 57 Chevy, he's a great designer Desi excited to see the prototype. Lots of really cool microbrands there too. https://www.lamicrolux.com/
Surprised he wasn't arrested years ago. The guy is a scam artist. He started in Dallas. Quite honestly anyone who chose him to sell their watches probably is too dumb to actually tell the time on a watch and should get a digital Mickey Mouse watch.

So the Microlux watch event is November 11th and 12th in Austin for anyone interested. https://www.lamicrolux.com/ Most will be in the more affordable end but some really cool brands. Photos are Typsim, DuFrane, and Treiber Timepieces. Also Crude and Minase and Towson plus several Austin brands. About 40 brands total.
Just FYI, if you're in Dallas, Jack Mason is hosting a watch event this Saturday. Several microbrands will be there including Formex, Nodus, Vortic, Tsao Baltimore, Lorier, Raven, and Dryden. Also Finch Knife Co. Free and you can sign up here. https://jackmasonbrand.com/pages/intersect-dallas
JR makes excellent straps. I bought a canvas for my Moser and it's great. I think the straps I got from tailored _by_jb are equal quality to my JR. I will say I don't have a leather strap from JR though. Here's a brown I picked up from him.
I but a fair amount of straps. If you're interested in more exotic leathers, there's Artifex Leather in El Paso that makes some great straps. If you want something more traditional @tailored_by_jb on Instagram makes phenomenal straps. I'm sure either could hook you up with something for that Stowa.
Big fan of this watch. Put mine on this white Hybrid strap from Under the Cuff and it's a fantastic combo. Much sportier. The only downside on this watch is the Miyota is loud. Didn't bother me but I know it does some people. I've chatted with Nathan a couple times and he's a really nice guy. Another great Austin brand is DuFrane.
I had a chance to buy quite a few at once so I did. Veggie that just piecemealed a few here and there. The people I bought the largest part of the collection from kept the most significant games for the most part. So I focused on the NC seasons and anything pre-1984. I do have two copies of the Texas Navy Cotton Bowl. And some other important games as well. I have my tickets from the 2006 NC game framed with a photo of the Tower lit up. The AS and LAT front pages framed. I also have a UT football signed to me from Vince Young right after the 2005 Big XII championship and a helmet signed by Colt McCoy. I love the cover art on the programs though. Just phenomenal. I need to get a better setup for my longhorn room so I can display everything properly.
Yeah, that are impressive for the money same look really sharp. Another brand that I've been impressed with recently is Galvin. Female watchmaker who lives in Australia.
Just got a couple Nodus watches to photograph and they are very impressive and under $500. The Sector Pilot and the Retrospect III. Definitely worth checking them out.
