  1. Well I mean, Dirty 6th sucks, this is true. It's just that every street in College Station sucks worse. And then there's the fact that Austin has numerous other entertainment districts, while College Station has... Bryan.

I'm pretty sure this is an unpopular opinion and I'm probably the only one around here who feels this way, but I don't get excited or even interested in the various helmet designs. Most of them are so busy, they just don't make a distinct, cohesive impression on me. The obvious exception was this one:

    Interstellar $30/lb.
  4. When I restored a vintage Airstream travel trailer, I replaced all of the "copper" with PEX. I laughingly call it copper, because it was actually a massive collection of busted copper connected to galvanized pipe connected to PVC connected to electrical conduit (yes, electrical conduit) with a hilarious collection of heater hoses and rotting steel hose clamps making most of the transitions. I replaced everything with clean runs of PEX and from then on the only winterizing I ever had to do was open the faucets, open the low point drains, and drain the water heater. Oh and also I was no longer worried that the water in the trailer was going to kill my entire family.
  5. South Carolina will obviously be a more season-defining game for the ags, because by the time they play Texas, their season will already be defined. And if I had to guess, I'd say they'll be defined as about an 8-3 team by the time they get to Austin.
  6. Maybe, but first they're going to have to become the leaders of Europe. Which is an activity that I fully support, in addition to my personal desire to see the US continue to aid Ukraine despite whatever the current administration is attempting to do.
  7. Not as great as a bitchin Camaro but I'll allow it. (I drove a 1981 Dodge Omni and was lucky to have it!)
  8. Grist Mill is good. And the setting is great, there's a reason it's an institution.
  9. This was a singularly terrible song. But Eddie was so big at the time, it didn't tank his career like it might have for a lesser person.

Agree. How do you screw up a red racecar?

There are Texans on this very site that will tell you they eat chili with beans in it. If we can't argue our food snobbery on an internet message board, then what are we even doing here?
  13. Nope, but I do sport my moon boots when the occasion arises.
  14. Sweats under pants? Thermal underwear? Technical fleece? I live in Austin, Texas for the precise reason I don't have to bother with that crap. Sure I'll wear thermal underwear when I'm going snow skiing, but that's an occasion where I'm willingly putting myself into that environment. If/when it gets cold enough for that here at home, I just don't go out in it. Super simple solution. Anyway, looking forward to getting through a last cold snap here, and then on to some warmer weather. Winter has been long enough.

Smaller cars is about the only thing that can help the race. That said, I don't really care. It's Monaco. The day that race drops off the calendar is probably the day I stop watching F1.
  16. Actual footage from when he broke his neck on the show...
  17. Hungry Holes Bondage Classics 13
  18. Wrap outside, open cabinets and drip inside for faucets with water lines in exterior walls.
  19. Same thing as our fan base always bitching that TX-OU kept getting the 11 AM slot, which was simply a result of that being Disney's national time slot and ours being their premier game of the weekend most years. It's the prime network partner's biggest time slot, they'll put their biggest games there.
  20. That's cool. It was still Prince's version, more than Sinead's.
  21. I suspect they'll Hollywood it up and bit and insert some action that doesn't actually occur in the book.
  22. Yeah the arrangement was definitely closer to Prince's version, than Sinead's. And much as I love Prince's music, I've always preferred Sinead's version of that particular song.
  23. And how you can sail all the way around without falling off. I assume the answer is something like this:
