  1. I meant architecture, mid Atlantic asshole attitude. Although I bet SE 80s through the early 2000’s was no joke. Hell, same with NE for the most part.
  2. AI, at least for now, is still fairly easy to discern. And most social media will also tag it as such.
  3. Well, I’m a Houston guy that lived in DC. Cool city if you avoid the politics and traffic on the beltway. Got a lot of crazy stories from my time up there. Not sure I can jump ahead. My OCD wants me to start from the beginning, but need to reconsider it.
  4. Correct, from Houston. And also lived in DC, in a rough neighborhood, so of what I saw of The Wire was familiar in a sense. Alright, I’ll try to find time to give it another shot.
  5. Watching Hope & Glory for the millionth time. Still one of my favorite WWII movies (even if it’s not really a war movie. Thank you Adolf!
  6. This. We are surly and not the DOJ, so we don’t have to meet Ana’s standards, but let’s stop with the horseshit at least.
  7. Last pot I made. Had to keep it in check for the ladies in the house, but still had great taste. Forgot pics after it reduced more and in the bowl.
  8. Some folks might not click on that. But a geatapo agent was hit by a car in Chicago.

  10. Not sure.
  11. This administration emboldens these racist, xenophobic losers. I’m your huckleberry.
  12. Right there with you. Actually, my second try I made it further but it never grabbed me. Which I find strange because all signs point to being a show I would love.
  13. Damn you fucks. Immamac needs to lock this thread until that piece of shit is six feet under.
  14. If that is true evangelism, of course I didn’t pervert it. But I know you are sensible enough (and simply have your eyes open) to know that is not what American evangelism is. It’s the nefarious, christo-fascist type. Look, I know I am a heathen asshole that is vocal about how patently absurd Christianity and other religions are, but y’all started it. And by y’all I mean all, because frankly I see very little pushback at an institutional level from Christians. It’s more along the lines of “yeah, those Christians are assholes and bigots, so I go to another church”. I know there were discussions about the Methodist church and the factions, but I don’t care. I am sick of this shit. Don’t need Bible stories in school. Don’t need pro-life bullshit, don’t need the 10 commandments in schools and government buildings. I would think that this supposed “real christians” everyone keeps talking about would be sick and tired of this shit too. But I don’t see that. I see millions supporting Trump, his goons and their ilk. Enough to have major influence on policy. If this shit would stop, you wouldn’t hear a fucking word from this godless heathen. I suspect the majority of others like me would do the same. I don’t know the answer for y’all and how y’all fix your own people. My anger isn’t directed at you specifically, but it’s fucking exhausting putting up with this shit. I do take major issue with evangelicals in Latin America as that is personal to me. They have sunk their fangs into Brazil. Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t doing anything that Catholics hadn’t already done throughout the americas, but this particular brand of crazy gave Bolsonaro and others a ton of support. And it’s disgusting.
  15. Definitely that orange bitch throwing a tantrum.
  16. It’s been nearly 12 years since we had to go the IVF route and frankly I can not recall all the details. Maybe my wife remember but I am too lazy to text her. But I want to say that the bill was north of $30k for IVF (not the birth) and with insurance we ended up paying like $12k. Again, I could totally be misremembering all this. At the time I was on Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
  17. Hahaha exactly. The problem isn’t so much Christians as it is the concept of evangelicalism. And trying to force their religion into law.

  19. Such a great series so far. Hope they don’t fuck it up.
  20. I Forgot about this thread, and since no dedicated Brazil thread I guess I put a few flicks in here from the last trip. These are more snapshots, I put other photos in the photography thread. Always the first thing we get when we land, coxinha and guaraná. I couldn’t pass on the torta de limão. This dining room kind of makes me sad now. My MIL has advanced dementia and obviously can’t cook anymore. So may great meals and conversations in this room over the last 20 years. I wish my girls could have tasted their grandmother’s food, especially her chicken lasagna. Never enough guaraná Almost bought a bottle for Ldogg My girls hanging with their cousins Can’t resist an ovaltine milkshake Made a trip to Salvador Some bad ass risotto de polvo My girls learned to surf (or at least stand up) Ate my weight in churrasco Ugh…we just should move back…
  21. I don’t go to many shows these days. Years of working in the music industry before becoming an O&G slave ruined my hearing. Lots of heavy shit in the studio and live. Anyways…I did go to two shows last year that were fucking great. Fu Manchu, I had not seen them live since 1996 or 97 at Liberty Lunch. Then got to see Cavalera Conspiracy do Chaos AD in it’s entirety. I LOVE sepultura and never got a chance to see them and that is my favorite album of theirs, so that was awesome. Igor is such a beast on the drums. Enjoy a couple shitty cell pics…
  22. damn, that would have been cool to show my girls.
  23. I need to get better shots of my work. Meant to stop by my artists' house where he can take some clean shots. Probably regret posting but oh well...at least its not my ass crack. So Japanese style with Texas-ish themes. Bat and cicadas on arm with pecan branches...makes me think of summer here in Texas. Snake and prickly pear cactus, tuna/blossoms, hawk and pine branches on chest. the chest is a massive blast over cover up. My homie specializes in cover ups. Daughters names on my ribs. Worst pain ever. Not in the best shape, cut me some slack, about to hit 50.
