  1. If pull-ups are tough on shoulders, TRX rows or any inverted row is a good tonic for pushups, and you can get a good quality TRX knock-off from Amazon for like $40z
  2. HaysCo MAGA isn’t as bad as Comal, but they are close. That said, in my official capacity as a former Hays County resident I am proud to see those kids stand on business! It reminds me of my Irish grandmother’s favorite blessing/curse/toast: May those who love us, love us; And for those who don't love us, May God turn their hearts; And if He doesn't turn their hearts, May He turn their ankles, So we will know them by their limping.

  5. I didn’t know that, but if I had donated to him this cycle I would ask for it back after this. From your lips to Gods ears man. Thanks for the info.
  6. Seemed like a good gun, it never felt right in my hand so it wasn’t a keeper for me, but YMMV.
  7. One more thought- In 2011 I decided a was a business genius and that it would be smart to bootstrap a software company. It was hugely expensive, financially and personally, and I failed. Two years later I was broke, but with a stressed marriage, two elementary school kids and insufficient income to cover fixed expenses past that month, I ended up getting a good job only through the timely good graces of my former intern. It was humbling, but you know what? I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. I had a blast. And to fail while daring greatly made be a better man. So. @Snake Diggity, whatever you do and whatever happiness means to you, you’ll be fine as long as you remember to treat happiness like the mission, because it is. If you can be happy there, maybe you stay. But life is too short to live with a job or a boss you hate or one that makes you hate yourself.
  8. It is foolish and scary! It is also brave and invigorating if you can stick the landing. To be clear- my circumstances were somewhat unique, and I was very much operating within a substantial margin of safety. I wasn’t trying to get away from something- I was very happy and content. It was just time to go see what was over the horizon. That said, I very much had to “burn the ships” to get here, and I miss the old world from time to time.
  9. You trying to say Jesus Christ can’t hit a curveball?
  10. Amen brother. He didn’t have the career he could/should have had for various reasons, but that cat could ball with anybody.
  11. Just checking in on the people here who were super duper worried about what Biden or Harris might do back on page 85. Y'all still worried about the second amendment or nah?

  13. https://x.com/jt_ennis/status/2018461896035475902I don’t like the apologetic tone here. This statement should have had three words: “this is bullshit”
  14. HE deleted HER instagram account?
  15. He definitely needs to not approximate Jesus if he wants to represent Texas.
  16. When she entered this race I was glad, because I thought it would give us a chance to see what these candidate have- we didn’t have that chance when the party put its thumb on the scale in Allred’s primary with Roland G. Now it’s really true. I said they needed to make this a spectacle, and that Crockett needed 20% more DGAF, and Talarico needed 20% less. This is the worst possible way to set that up, but here we are. If this is true and holds up, James is done and Crockett needs to avoid getting short here, to let her surrogates handle it and make a straight case to the voters for the nod. But if this isn’t true, Talarico needs to come out swinging in a really direct way, as in “I’m very disappointed that Colin and Jasmine would stoop so low. But no matter what happens to me, I will not allow social media bullshit to cost us a winnable senate race.” And it goes without saying that again if it isn’t true, Crockett and Allred should be burnt, forever.
  17. apparently this is the source. Seems legit!
