Mount Rushmore of Texas Message Board Posters
I don't remember her username and she didn't stay long. My memory on the specifics are a little fuzzy with it being so long ago but here's what I recall. We had a thread on the topic and it had gotten pretty long by the time Pityonak & Hall were arrested. IIRC she showed up not super long after their arrest- a handful of days or a week after maybe. She started posting in defense of Colton and I believe posted a bit negatively about Cave as well. At some point during all of this she also got into a long-ish DM/chat exchange with one of the posters who then added the chat/DM log to the thread.

He's referencing Laura Hall- the chick who helped Colton Pitonyak dismember Jennifer Cave back in 2005. She showed up on Hornfans shortly after the incident.

Ok, we need an Oscar thread after that Will Smith/Chris Rock moment
It's a function of which style you're required to follow (APA, Chicago, MLA, etc.) and they all have different rules. Surly has no official/declared Style Guide as far as I can tell, so whatever type of grammar nazism you're trying to enforce has no official context here.

Any thoughts on these colleges?
All RPI grads I've worked with have been top notch. My reference points are the semiconductor and software industries- seems to be a darn good school.

My company moved to unlimited 3 years ago. I take 5-6 weeks off every year and so do many of my coworkers. There's none of the "guilt" mentioned up thread going on. It has worked out well and gone smoothly.

From 1998-2005 I worked for a company that had unlimited sick days. If you were sick you were expected to stay out of the office- don't come in and infect others. Work at home if you want or don't work at all... just stay the fuck away while you're sick. I don't recall anyone ever abusing it and it was great not having sick people coming into the office and infecting others.- don't look up

- Charles Maund (of Charles Maund Toyota) indicted in murder-for-hire plot
My one experience with them was super shady. I took my Tacoma there for a recall inspection that was required to be done by a dealership. Afterward they mentioned a few things that needed to be fixed (water pump had an "aggressive leak", hoses needed replacing, etc.) and of course they had a quote ready to go when they told me that. I told them not to do it, that I'd have my regular shop check it out. Afterward I called up my regular shop and told them what Charles Maund had said and asked them if they'd take a look at it the next day. I also asked them what it would cost to do all of the work Maund said needed to be done, and their estimate was 35% less than Maund. The next day they took a look and confirmed that none of the work needed to be done. In fact, none of it has yet been needed 4.5 years later.- COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such
