Fun place. Friends and I play disc golf there occasionally. They have a decent 18-hole course- they'll sell you bottles of wine for the course and it is easy/convenient to stop in for a wine tasting at the turn if you have time.
The trail is fine and ChickenSandwich is clearly full of shit, afraid of his own shadow, and clearly never uses it. I'm on it multiple times per week sometime 5:30-7:00a.m. and other times after work well past the 5:30p.m. timeframe he cites as being so unsafe. We had this same conversation on this thread 6-9 months ago. When asked for receipts he had none for this supposed "after 5:30" Thunderdome version of the trail he rants about. It's super fucking laughable.
I rejoined "Big Tech" 8 years ago and can 100% confirm I saw what you saw, and pretty much exactly as you described it. At one point I recall thinking, "man, I'm fucked next time I look for a job"- not because my skills weren't top notch but because I'm a white male (50+ these days) and everything I was seeing/hearing during out hiring cycles was going super out of the way to not hire white males.
I'm not complaining here, just reinforcing that what Bozo witnessed was/is very much a real thing in some fields.
Too funny. I've been hearing the term "glazing" used quite a bit the last 6 months or so- prior to that I'd never heard it before. I've never heard the phrase "gassing someone up" but I'm guessing they're similar.
This is where I land. I certainly enjoy WFH but I'd be fine going back into an office regularly for 2x unless it was some ridiculous micromanaging situation with a shitty commute.
I still go to shows there fairly often. I like that the staff don't put up with people talking through/over shows and will respectfully tell them to stfu.
It was a blast- absolutely fantastic show and the sound system setup at Knockdown Center was well beyond what Emo's had for the Austin shows earlier this year.
It fucking ruled.
@mycox and I bar hopped through Brooklyn before and after the show and eventually called it quits around 4:00a.m. I just got back to my hotel in Manhattan 😀
The crowd here tonight was noticeably younger than the Austin show I attended back in April.
Awesome time
