He probably got rejected by UT and failed out of community college (if it's even possible to fail out of community college). His insecurity is so extreme that it is difficult for a normal person to relate to or even speculate about a cause.

Gone posters
I wondered the same thing recently but my suspicion is that he's just crestfallen that Texas Tech is having a good season and that the "awful" viewership stats he's constantly trumpeting (and falsifying in his posts) still aren't happening. He's such a fucking insecure miserable loser- it's actually a better look for him to not be constantly shitting all over everything.

RIP Evil Horn
I stopped by ABGB today for lunch and beer while running some errands- happy to report they're still doing good work!

Below Deck
Thanks. Lol, fuck, she's why I stopped watching it.

God damn it, I stopped watching all variations of this show ~4 years ago but this comment might rope me back into opening it back up. Which flavor is this?

Halloween/Horror Movie Thread
Totally understand- it's a big time commitment although a great time. I skipped attending until my last year in the industry and have loved every year since then. 🍻

How often do you attend Fantastic Fest? If regularly then we should meet up for beers between films one of these years.

Concerts you are attending
I got tickets for LCD Soundsystem in NYC in December- their recent Austin show was a lot of fun so this seemed like a decent excuse for a NYC trip.

Halloween/Horror Movie Thread
Last month I saw a bunch of horror movies at Fantastic Fest. Here are details for a few that stood out, and I've included trailers when available. Dolly- no distribution yet afaik but definitely creepy & intense with franchise potential It was also the first time I'd seen Seann William Scott in ages Whistle- fun and more mainstream horror- scheduled for release February 2026 IIRC Night Patrol- Justin Long as a LAPD officer- scheduled for 2026 release (no trailer available) More details in spoiler I also saw an early showing of V/H/S/ Halloween (released earlier this month) and it was a lot of fun- one of the better ones of the franchise imo.

2025 Random Games thread
It's nice to see them with a defense now. 9 sacks + 505 yards of offense tonight and now 6-0.

8 sacks for the Texas Tech D so far.

Good to see that!

Hah, fantastic! IIRC the Austin show was only a month or so before that Vancouver show.

He played Central Machine Works a few weeks ago. One night back in 2007 at Mohawk I saw BJL & Spoon- entry was $10.

Time for another ‘my dog is awesome’ thread
Great to see. My last time at that bar was with my father a few years ago. Great spot. He's 79 now- time for another visit. Cheers buddy!

John Candy: I Like Me (a documentary)
What a heartfelt tribute and great honor to John Candy... and from such an iconic lineup of interviewees. It's a little dusty in here.

Explosion at TN Manufacturing Plant—19 missing
I've seen the Inuits, they have a good time.

Korean movies
If we're broadening to Asian (totally cool by me), I saw a couple fun ones at Fantastic Fest last month. Road to Vendetta The Curse

2025 ACL
Hah, that wasn't my intent... but it was a damn good performance and the last time I saw Tom Petty. At the time I lived across the river from Zilker- and less than a month later the Rolling Stones played Zilker Park, which was also a great time.

2006. That was worth sticking around for- great performance.

2025 ACL
I was in the tent for that one- great time. I remember the drummer throwing his drum sticks and bailing mid-set. IIRC I read later (here or on reddit) that he was having trouble with his hands or something.

Tell me about Texas Tech
Agreed. This reminds me of my sophomore year (early 1990s) when the Southwest Conference started penalizing tortillas on the field- I think it started after the 1993 A&M game when the bands got into a fight while passing each other on the field for halftime. Once the threat of penalties was in place, the student government folks arranged to have bins in the stadium and asked that students put their tortillas in the bins and that they'd be donated to local food banks instead of causing penalties during the game. I don't recall if refs enforced the penalties back then (I'm assuming they did) but the main result I recall was that the student government association stationed people along the field to pick up any stray tortillas that landed.
